I like your posts so I will say that it would have been messed up if they had and would have been hard to try to rationalize such a waiver to the public.

That was the only rationalization they could have made IMO. However, it was overtaken by world events so Exxon can't be that pissed about it. It's also interesting they were already in the process of some of the drilling, however, were allowed to finish them up (presumably under Obama as the article implies).
Tillerson has recused himself from all government matters involving Exxon
I will admit I did not read the article but trusted your information. After I read it this is another important takeaway:
Glad I haven't made your "fake news" listing.
You are correct it would have seemed shady to have sent the exceptions on through, but I think there honestly would have been decent enough rationale to have pushed it had it been sold right. Of course, certain segments would have screamed about it, but that is to be expected any time Trump does something they don't like.
I'm kind of in the "meh" column about it. Don't care either way. One could make the argument that Obama canned it because of his environmental stance and the sanctions over the Crimea were a good enough reason to put the brakes on. One could also make the argument had Trump approved it, it was because of Tillerson's former involvement in Exxon. But the Trump Admin (it actually came from the Treasury Department) took a hard line and pressed forward with the continuance of the sanctions.

"Suggestions of collusion."
I just happened to wake up to the panel of Kayyem, Baer, and Hall - all actual experts, unlike VolNation's fake kind - on Erin Burnett. When Hall, former Russian Operations at the CIA, said that there's just far too much smoke in all of this for there to be no fire at all, the other two panelists immediately nodded their heads in agreement.
For the record, Kayyem called the Flynn immunity story about a week before it broke in the press.
At this point, you have to be a raging idiot to think none of this - nothing at all regarding the Donny camp and the Kremlin - seems suspicious. You're also a Chekist Kremlin lover if you think there should be no FBI investigation at all, and history will judge you harshly.
The delusion is strong in the Chekist above.
Also, for the rest of you Chekists, I found this pretty apt:

May you lay in the grave you dug for yourself.
Carter Page is either the dumbest man alive, or he knows things we simply cannot grasp in our limited, flawed human acumen.
He's probably a genius. He recognized that Putin is the worlds most powerful man, evidenced by his ability to sway the course of democracies with Pepe memes and John Podesta emails. Seeing that Russia will eventually control the entire planet - if it doesn't already - it was best to ally himself with the puppet master.
Still waiting on that impending news that was going to send Obama to prison.
Meanwhile, that dictator you voted for is robbing us blind.
Thanks, low-information voter.
