TrumPutinGate

However, the original point does stand and begs for an answer.

How does one say with any certainty the DNC was hacked going solely off a third party report and not examining the physical evidence themselves?

This must be the question.

This "third party report" as you put it, were as I understand 6 cyber-security firms who were contracted. They obviously had the confidence of James Clapper.

Want to fact check that little statement before you make yourself look even more foolish?

And there was only one company.

There are several reasons why so many are having such a difficult time accepting reality.

1. For some, as I mentioned above, they are comfortable with treason, because it serves their perceived self-interests and/or because they hate their fellow Americans of different political/ethnic/racial/religious/etc. identities so much that even aid from an adversary's government is fair game. Some of these individuals post in this forum.

2. For others, they refuse to publicly accept it, because it's proof of what the rest of us knew all along: how stupid they are. These individuals can't deal with the fact they are truly stupid people, and so they double and triple and quadruple down, just hoping that the ditch they keep digging will eventually Jed Clampett them some Texas tea. This factor is the one that influences most here.

3. For the remaining group, the treason is so open and so brazen, they can't believe it's what is actually happening. They think of normal criminal paradigms and think that no one could be this openly stupid and criminal - basically traitors in broad daylight. They look at Donny's proposed "cybersecurity op" with Russia, for instance, treason as bold as a lion, and think to themselves that it just couldn't possibly be what it looks like. I'm not positive, but I think this may be where posters like volinbham fall.

As for the rest of us, we look at all three and think, simply, "How in the blazing ****..."

Indeed. You've got a lot of crow to eat. And here's the best thing: this is only the tip of the iceberg. Much, much worse is coming, including direct evidence (digital communications and tapes) of Donny's complicity as well. So, much, much more crow to eat.

But, don't worry, once Donny is out, I'll let you move on, kind of like a house cat that tires of pawing the dead bird it brought in.

Never thought I'd see the day that somewhere around a quarter to a third of Americans openly defend treason because they hate the other set of Americans even more.

What a nation of spineless, sniveling little ******* we've become!
Treason??? Did I miss where Congress declared war on Russia or something?

You were correct earlier. It was a setup

In a statement, Mark Corallo added: “Specifically, we have learned that the person who sought the meeting is associated with Fusion GPS, a firm which according to public reports, was retained by Democratic operatives to develop opposition research on the President and which commissioned the phony Steele dossier.”

Fusion GPS, which is based in Washington DC and was established by former Wall Street Journal reporters Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch, found itself in the spotlight earlier this year after it emerged it was behind an “oppo research” dossier containing unproven and often salacious allegations about Mr Trump.

You've got him now.

Does anyone else find it just crazy that the democrat party is going to be destroyed by one of its own?

The dude was a Bernie supporter and busted them out on running him out of the party for hillary.

He leaked it and they are in full panic mode.

This is going to be good...

In June and July 2016, cybersecurity experts and firms, including (1) CrowdStrike, (2) Fidelis, (3) FireEye, (4) Mandiant (5) SecureWorks, (6) Symantec and (7) ThreatConnect, stated the DNC e-mail leaks were a part of a series of cyberattacks on the DNC committed by two Russian intelligence groups, called Fancy Bear and Cozy Bear, also know respectively as APT28 and APT29 / The Dukes. ThreatConnect also noted possible links between the DC Leaks project and Russian intelligence operations because of a similarity with Fancy Bear attack patterns. SecureWorks added that the actor group was operating from Russia on behalf of the Russian government.

So, there were actually 7 cybersecurity firms.

How is this Russian lawyer lady connected to Obama's Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul?

Even if all of that were true, why did they not get the FBI involved ASAP and hand over the server like the FBI requested on several occasions?

I propose we make Assange and Snowden co-chairs of this important committee.

If Donny thought he could get away with it, he would.

He's been testing the waters to see what treason the Grand Old Postmodernists will allow him to get away with and what treason they will not, from the very first moment he entered the WH and attempted to unilaterally lift sanctions only to meet State Dept. pushback.

The "cybersecurity op," which is without question the dumbest thing an American president, even a fake one, has ever proposed was another such testing. A dip of the toe. Once he got enough Republican pushback, he decided to play stupid, reversing his position in less than a day.

The reality is, if he could sell this country to Putin, he would.
