TrumPutinGate

I like Sessions and think he's probably a great person (aside from the asset forfeiture). I do think he never should have recused himself and doing so emboldened the crazies like vp and velo. If he leaves, it won't be the end of the world. Trump has every right to be furious with his stepping aside and not talking it over with him first.

It's not surprising you don't give a darned about the rule of law (save for when you arbitrarily think it benefits you and your interests), but yes, he should have absolutely recused himself.

He was a member of the campaign. The investigation is of the campaign.

Besides, I don't really even know what Donny is whining about anyhow. Sessions hasn't actually recused himself, as per his participation in the Comey Night Massacre.

He'll resign rather than be fired.

Honestly, I think he'll keep doing what he's doing.

He's power-drunk, getting to seize people's personal property - who aren't even charged with crimes - and all.

That and he has a sick masochistic thing with the makeup wearing spray-tanner, kind of like how many on here do as well.

And we're not to be concerned about Trump meeting with Putin unsupervised and with no record for an hour? There is absolutely no telling what he said. You know Putin has to be the happiest man on the planet.

There's no record of the vast majority of interactions between any of our leaders. Let's not pretend this is abnormal

The New York Times interview is a real window on Trump's desire to be an autocratic. He Trump pretty much makes it clear that he thinks that he, as president, ought to be able to use all the powers of government--the FBI and its director and the Justice Department and the Attorney General, and any other agencies or top officials necessary--to cover up past or present wrongdoing by him. That's the underlying message.

It's understood. You believe our leaders want all of their communications with foreign leaders recorded?

That's what I thought.

And for transparency's sake, yes, sounds like a fine idea to me.

If it's sensitive enough, they can have the release postponed a couple decades or so.

So you agree with me that most considerations between our leaders and other foreign leaders are not recorded?

For a guy who whined incessantly about Donny being a literal fascist before the election, you've come a long, long way.

Right.....anyway. I've never liked Trump. But I'm just glad your girl didn't win. She'd be arming rebels and inciting WW3 all to help her donors in Saudi

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz:

..."President Donald Trump committed "no crime" in alleged Trump-Russia collusion.

Democrats and liberals, such as Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), believe the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special prosector to investigate the theory of Trump-Russia collusion is the first step in President Donald Trump’s eventual impeachment.

But Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz explained that even if Democratic theories about Trump and Russia are true — that Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Russia last year to undermine Hillary Clinton’s campaign and bolster Trump’s chances at winning the White House — it amounts only to “political wrongdoing.

Nobody can point me to a statute that would be violated [by the Trump-Russia collusion],” Dershowitz said. “And a prosecutor is only allowed to look for evidence of a federal crime.”
