TrumPutinGate

You don't have to be in an elected or appointed office to be corrupt. And the Trump's have made more money through corruption than the Clintons by a long shot. Not even close. Not even in the same ball park.

You're the biggest partisan hack I've ever seen.... you've not once made an impartial post in your history of VN..... it's sad

The House and Senate reached a deal yesterday to slap Russia with fresh new sanctions and also give Congress veto power to block any easing of those sanctions. This bill is expected to pass both chambers with strong majorities and could be on Trump's desk by the end of the week. The bill also includes new sanctions against Iran and North Korea. This is being done in part because of bi-partisan concerns that Putin's bff might try and give back two compounds in Maryland and New York as part of his "Make Russia Great Again" campaign.

We'll see if Trump has the temerity to veto this bi-partisan bill which has overwhelming Congressional support... I'm sure he wants to.

If he doesn't veto be prepared for some of our properties to be seized.

Trump still refuses to acknowledge that Russian interfered in our election! Chooses to believe Putin over our own intelligence services. This, essentially, is treasonous behavior. The only person who is un-American is our corrupt president.

Can you imagine if Clinton or a Democrat were acting like this. All the rubes would be blowing their tops. Hay barns all over America would be on fire! The seething venom in rural America--most definitely including the South--would be showing up on satellite photos as a deep red swatch across the country's midsection. Trump is, as they say, beyond the pale.

I believe government employees shouldn't be disclosing classified government assets, methods, sources to the world.

Problem is when you're a government employee you are sworn to obey and protect the constitution..some people might think disclosing certain things is their way of following their oath albeit they are often wrong.

How exactly did Russia interfere during election day? In fact, what did Russia do during the election that interfered in any way? What did the Russian government, not groups supposedly linked to the Russian government, do that interfered. Heck, toss in those affiliated groups. What did they do that had a tangible impact on the election. Now I'm looking for tangible evidence, not conjecture.

(ps I know the answer):

Oh yeah..its not treason. Its not essentially treason. With your logic if I look at my car with a beer in my hand I have essentially committed a DUI..

The FBI, CIA and NSA have concluded with the support of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that groups backed by the Russian government (Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear) were responsible for the hacking of the DNC and that Russia was also responsible for the dissemination of "fake news" stories on the internet during the campaign. There is no evidence that vote tallies were altered although it has been disclosed that attempts toward that end by Russia were made. We have no way to know whether or not any voter's minds were changed or influenced by the wikiLeak's releases or the spread of Russian fake news. I would refer you to the testimony of James Clapper before Congress in January if choose to dispute any of this.

It is sad that anyone still wants to deny this reality. Regardless of party affiliation, Russia's meddling in our election should bother every American. More than anything else, it just shows how blindly some will support anything which they think helps Trump. This is sectarianism at the expense of the country and it shouldn't exist in the United States.

If your government operates in secrecy, how can the voters make informed decisions?

Also, that's a very neocon view for you to have.

That's to be expected.

Are you giving Trump cover should he decide to reject the bill?

Wonder if this is what he and Putin talked about in their hour long chat with no American in earshot.

And funny thing is..these intelligence agencies knew all this information before the election even occurred...interesting right? Hell, the government even offered to help the DNC and they told em to go to hell..weird huh?

Russia might have tried to sway public opinion but to think that their fake news stories got Trump elected is like trying to fly to Mars on a carrot..its dumb.

Trump won because the pollsters were/are biased against him. Trump won because Hillary ran a terrible campaign that focused on attacking Trump and not talking about her own plans. Trump won because Hillary couldn't hide her health problems. Trump won because Hillary ignored White people and in fact denigrated White males.

This minor Russia thing..this is called karma. Do you know how much regime change the USA has been involved with? Do you know how many elections we have interfered with? Do you know how many leaders we have assassinated? Do you know how the USA funds political parties around the world?

Here is the thing..nothing the US is going to do is going to stop any foreign country from doing this again. You have idiots in both parties that have no cyber security acumen. You have idiots in both parties who like to use their very, VERY unsecured personal emails to do business. And if you are using voting machines without paper ballots (I've never seen them) you better not have them connected to any computer with an internet connection or they are always at risk.

IF Russia had hacked polling stations then yes, I agree a huge problem. If Trump told Russia to somehow alter election results to favor him, yes..thats a problem (still not treason you troglodytes).

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump - 45m

It's very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.

He gave them the magic nuclear codes he knows that will allow Russia to hack the closed nuclear systems and, by utilizing their telekinesis warfare program, mind control the fire control officers into launching nuclear missiles to destroy the major metropolitan cities and destroying the democratic party forever. Then Trump's youngest son will change his name to Nicholas III, Tzar of 'Merica. DC will be renamed Waldemar Oblast and we will have those awesome military parades where our nukes get driven by. Cold tomato soup will become the national food and Vodka will flow like the salmon of Capistrano.

Other than talking about their grandkids as 72 Grad suggested I'm sure they also talked about riding shirtless on horse back together again sometime soon.

I disagree that trump believes Putin over our IC. To admit it would interfere with his pro Russian agenda and maybe even his financial ties to them.
