I think it changed just enough to pave the way for Trump to win the republican primary and the electoral college. (But thankfully not the majority)

The information age is tricky especially for idiots. Truth is elusive for them and they find the convenient truth in misleading opinions of others. That would be the most influential factor on the populace that allow for this embarrassment.

The whole media world is bombarding everyone everyday about every issue. They always find the button and that is how we get single issue voters. Group all of those single issue voters into one party and you get Trump..

plenty of "fake news" on both sides. neither side has that market cornered. even claiming one is worse than the other does nothing but create arguments. tallest midget type of deal.

we desperately need a candidate that can actually run on his/her own standing. no parties, no slander, no fear mongering. here is what I stand for.

Its not about the bias in reporting it's the inability to see beyond it and find the useful information that broadens understanding.

I never said it was his best attribute. It only highlights the differences in wisdom, intelligence, and compassion between the two.

We would all love a candidate like the one you describe. To date, none exist. Some were delusional enough to believe that that is what they were getting with Trump. The Trump fiasco has greatly diminished the prospects of such a candidate rising to the top in the future.

Jesus H. Christ I've never seen so many cult of personality politician fluffers in my life. I would have thought in this day and age of information we would have evolved past worshiping party bosses. Trump is a scumbag, Obama is a scumbag, GWB is a scumbag. There are plenty of decent people who deserve praise over these charlatans.

Besides a candidate like that would require a lot of money so that rules out an honest hard working man/woman. What's it cost now days half a billion dollars, your first born, and friends in low places?
