TrumPutinGate

LG used to be a great meme poster. He's really slacked off in recent memory.

Thanks Trump...
I expect to spend more time there, myself, for the next month or so. The timing could not be better to get me away from what is going to be epic meltdown/denial/deflection in here as the Trump presidency goes off the rails even more.
I'm pretty sure Mueller is about a dozen chess moves ahead of Trump, thankfully. This might also finally get Congress to act to protect Mueller, you know like thewy said they would.

The only way constitutionally they can "protect" Muelly is to go back to the old Special Prosecutor rules where the SP is appointed by and reports to a panel of federal judges. That should have never been changed.

Sessions is replaced with an AG that actually does his job.

New AG does his job and provides oversight of all DOJ business including the Mueller witch hunt. Rod is no longer needed in this role.

No need for Trump to replace Mueller at that point. He would have the oversight he is currently not held to.

This gets back to the Sessions recusal. If Trump wanted an Attorney General who would oversee any investigation into his 2016 election campaign, then he should not have nominated a person for Attorney General who was a high profile member of that very same campaign. An Attorney General (with any integrity at all) is not going to oversee an investigation which involves him/her. That is just common sense. Trump has only himself to blame ... but of course, with Trump, his mistakes are always someone else's fault.

Crooked Hillary Clinton continues to walk free, with the full support of the media and the government. FUSION GPS.

Love was in the air over the weekend at the most unlikely of places, as the son of billionaire hedge fund manager Marc Lasry was married in a ceremony that was held on the grounds of Harvey Weinstein's Connecticut estate.

Sessions was a mistake made by Trump. Everyone makes them. A President's mistakes are more noticeable than yours or mine.

What does this have to do with the topic of this thread ?

Most people are capable of acknowledging their mistakes ... and yes, we all make them. Trump, however, continues to blame Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation into the Trump 2016 Presidential campaign, which is what most lawyers in his position would have done. Trump should be blaming himself for nominating Sessions in the first place. This blame game and lack of personal accountability by Trump for his own mistake in judgement has been going on for well over a year now. It has gotten so old. Fire Sessions if you want, but for God's sake, shut up about it.

Trump's narcissism precludes him from admitting, even to himself, that he has ever made a mistake. He will always blame others.

Very true... and just to emphasize how costly a mistake it was for Trump to nominate Jeff Sessions for Attorney General, we also have a Democratic Senator in Alabama now (Doug Jones), as a result.
