Didn't want to say anything but the literacy rate in the PF is even lower.

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe you are the one dragging the overall IQ of board down ? I mean with 53k posts you have to at least consider that right ? šŸ˜‚

He is at the top of the employment chain of the Executive Branch. Yes they do indeed work for him.

No. Luckily they work for us.

He can absolutely direct them from one case to another , shut this one down start this one up just by saying .. Do it

He cannot order them to stop investigating him. The concern is that he fires the people doing it and hires people that promise not to in order to get the job.

No. They work for whomever is at the top of their reporting chain. Or instead if youā€™re trying to sound pious and patriotic they are administratively responsible to the people in the reporting chain above them which ultimately is POTUS.

Iā€™ll try that with my boss next time. ā€œI donā€™t work for you. I work for the people! So there!ā€

He absolutely can rearrange them anyway he wants. He just has to deal with the consequences. If he fired Mueller directly Congress would jump on it and move to impeach.

But the AG is his direct appointment. An appointment who checked out on his most important task thus far in day 1.

You really want to sell the message LG. Youā€™re wrong.

He actually can and fire them if they donā€™t , he can order the resources moved to a different case . Now would he ? That would be political suicide . They would refuse and he would have to fire them . See Richard Nixion. Why do you think Congress was trying to pass a bill to protect Mueller? He can fire him any time he wants to.

I agree that it SHOULD be political suicide. My faith in the GOP in Congress to pull the trigger is not very strong.

In a sense, they are doing him no favors. Only Graham really ever says anything to warn him he's getting himself into trouble. If a GOP Congress acted against him, he'd explode and call them all traitors. That's what they're worried about but as I say they'd be helping him more if they told him to back off all these threats.

So much of this thread reminds me of this Oval Office exchange from September of 1972:

President Richard Nixon: The Watergate thing. Well, that's going to pass. That'll be over. They'll indict a few people, and then the god**** thing's over.

Pat Buchanan: Maybe.

John Dean: (says nothing but clears throat)

Per White House tape recordings in the HBO documentary film "Nixon by Nixon: In His Own Words".

Investigators in New York state issued a subpoena to Michael Cohen as part of their probe into the Trump Foundation, an official with Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The subpoena was issued after Cohen's attorney said his client has information of interest to both state and federal prosecutors. As Trump's longtime lawyer and self-described "fixer," Cohen could potentially be a significant source of information for state investigators looking into whether Trump or his charity broke state law or lied about their tax liability.

Serious question ( not really political ) I wonder how many other clients Cohen tapped over the years and do you think they are nervous ? I mean a high profile attorney in NY city he might have enough dirt on people to work out a hell of a deal lol . Just a thought .

It appears he has done some shady stuff so It's likely he may have recorded some of the people he worked with. He is not really a high profile attorney IMO. When they raided his house and office it was determined he only had like 3 clients. Only like .2% of materials seized were privileged.

He is a sleeze , I missed the part about how many clients he had , thatā€™s what I was wondering .
