lying to the FBI is lying to the FBI - if you want to nail Flynn and Papadopolous for it then you should want to nail McCabe for it.
Prosecutors have discretion on whether to move forward. And the fact is, motive matters. When Flynn and Papadopolous lie it's to protect Trump or for personal wealth. The underlying point was personally selfish in both cases.
McCabe was one of what has become a long, long line of people trying to warn us about the nutjob in the WH.

So... lying to try to discredit someone is okay?
Makes sense.
how convenient - if the cause is righteous (in your eyes), the laws don't apply. The only principle appears to be partisanship.
Interestingly we know that the FBI agents didn't think Flynn was lying and Flynn was prosecuted as a pawn to get to someone else so the motive issue is moot. Comey then Mueller simply used Flynn to move up the chain.
I'd argue if you let top brass in law enforcement break the law but punish citizens you are crumbling the citizenry's faith in law enforcement.
It frankly depends a great deal on whether it is true. I mean, if someone was in the Obama WH or DOJ and sounded alarm bells about some level of ineptitude, you'd have hailed them as a hero.
Here, we have it happening REPEATEDLY. And from Republicans. Does that not concern you?
It's not a question of partisanship. To date, all the people that have gone out on a limb to warn us about Trump's bizarre and disconcerting behavior have been GOPers.
And so far, the GOP has sawed the limb off behind them, just as you suggest ought to be done with McCabe. Find a way to discredit him. Find a way to discredit Mueller. Flack. McCain. Corker. George Will. The Bush family. Tillerson. Peters.
The list goes on and on.
How about you consider the possibility that they are correct, and your blind faith in this idiot in the WH might have been a mistake?
McCabe discredited himself. This was not some conspiracy to smear him. The IG report is quite clear.
McCabe was lying about an actual crime (leaking); Flynn was lying about something that wasn't a crime.
McCabe's lying was not about Trump; it was about the Hillary investigation so the notion he was just trying to keep us safe is ludicrous.
Your position of forgiving McCabe is totally partisan. You consider him an ally in your cause so he's free to break the law.
Why would a republican who has dedicated most of his life to serving his country and is respected by all do such a thing? All mueller is doing is building a paper trail for the Dems to start impeachment if they take the house . It won’t be anything with proof , just a lot of speculation that both sides can point to as being vendicated . He will write up His opinion and say based on all of it in its totality I believe he is guilty of ( put whatever here ) , I just can’t prove it . That will give the Dems what they need to start it.
So in that clip she defines a deplorable as racist, sexist, xenophobic, etc...and he proudly accepts the title. Seems pretty accurate and a rare truthful statement from Trump.
