TrumPutinGate

I don't think he's a mastermind. This wasn't all planned out. He didn't even think he would win the presidency.

But it happened.

Also, a mastermind doesn't get caught. Which, sadly for him, will probably not be the case here.

Al Capone would disagree with that last part when the Government wants you bad enough . Just sayin .

Look at the country. You just claimed to have never seen anything like it......people trying to bring down the president. Why would they? He is a divider. He chose to be that. He played it to the hilt. He aligned with Bannon, what more do you need to know?

Why would they? They are pissed at the results of the election and are acting like spoiled brats.

I never discounted his service and I won’t. Doesn’t mean I can’t call out his BS behavior towards his chain of command.

My behavior is no worse than the Pentagon staff officers who have said worse on social media. Trump is no different than any other commander. He may tell you to do something stupid but you still do it. Everyone will complain but you still do it.

Are those staff officers still serving? If so I’d bet they are crossways with their direct chain of command no? (Not Trump) And do you really want to try and imply the military chain of command is completely ok with overt grousing of their CiC? I call outright bull **** on that. And if you aren’t serving then say any damn thing you want that’s absolutely ok.

I do agree that you don’t have to like it but you do have to do it as long as it’s a lawful order.

And I have offered my thanks and welcome home in your other thread you started when you got back from Afghanistan. That’s genuine and I’ll do it again. Thank you for serving. It’s an incredible sacrifice I understand. Doesn’t mean I’m obligated to swallow your political BS lines though.

Wait where were these thoughts when Obama was President????

I don't know what the attitude of the Army was during Obama's term but remember well the first of the Clinton years. It was made clear that any criticism or disrespect towards Clinton was not going to be tolerated. And there was plenty to criticize him for.

And you didn't see the blatant disrespect for the office outwardly like you do now. I have seen so many social media rants about Trump being a bag of **** from accounts that are from uniformed members in service.......breaking all kinds of Hatch driven directives. Carlos is technically in violation of a few of these directives including not clearly and prominently stating that the political views he posts on here are his own personal views alone.

That's the only right wing spin available. But the problem is, democrats have lost plenty of elections....Trump has only won one. If this is, as you say, something you've never seen before - I don't think it takes a genius to pinpoint what is different.

Wow that Bannon must be a horrible guy I can’t believe a president would be close to such a divider like him .
He is indeed. Trump was warned about the optics and how it would be interpreted and yet he still willingly jumped in head first. Trump made that choice.

What’s different is we had a designated winner prior to the election that couldn’t get the ball accross the goal line and you guys are pissed.

You can almost feel the Louis Farrakhan picture coming , can’t you ?

The interesting thing about that argument is that it does not deny that Trump may have colluded with the Russians or obstructed justice. That is, even if you were right that the Dems are mad that they lost when they thought they would win, that would not diminish the significance of either collusion or obstruction. That is to say, Trump having won does not excuse either collusion or obstruction.

By all accounts, there are written questions now being answered. Original reporting was that the questions were just about collusion. Since then, however, reporting is that there are also written questions about obstruction, but that the Trump legal team is simply not going to answer those.

Now why would that be, and on what grounds? This may be the defense we heard earlier this year -- that Trump is legally entitled to obstruct in the form that he has, i.e. fire people and replace them with loyalists. Basically, that his right to hire who he wants supersedes the authority of the investigation. The problem with that argument, of course, is that ignores the why, i.e. why fire and replace with a loyalist?

What this is about is conspiracy tied to Roger Stone. Clearly, there is strong evidence that he and his associate were in contact with Wikileaks and knew in advance of the release of emails. The question is going to be, how much did Trump's team know about that, and specifically who knew? The fact is, Trump, Jr. is almost certainly facing an indictment at this point for perjury, having lied about all of that in the past, when it is clear that he was the conduit for information about it.

Who did he share that with? Manafort? Kush? Donnie, himself?

How convenient. Trump has professed his innocence, I don't know, hundreds of times. If he is truly innocent of collusion or obstruction, let the damn investigation play out because he's got nothing to worry about. All this "witch hunt" and "hoax" stuff just makes him look guilty. In fact, if the Mueller report comes out and he finds that Trump did nothing wrong, it virtually guarantees that Trump gets reelected.

Lol. Barry was the ultimate divider that promoted burning cities down.

Nope. But you go right along telling yourself that. I do actually believe that internally, you know better.

If a president brought in Farrakhan as his right hand man and brains behind the operation, I would hope people would kick and scream and do whatever necessary to get the idiot out of office.

No reason for the President to answer dumbass questions about obstruction, he is the President and can fire the director of the FBI anytime he wants to. Not to mention the left also called for his firing.
