Per WashPost:
Trump administration sought to block Sally Yates from testifying to Congress on Russia
The Trump administration sought to block former acting attorney general Sally Yates from testifying to Congress in the House investigation of links between Russian officials and Donald Trumps presidential campaign, The Washington Post has learned, a position that is likely to further anger Democrats who have accused Republicans of trying to damage the inquiry.
According to letters The Post reviewed, the Justice Department notified Yates earlier this month that the administration considers a great deal of her possible testimony to be barred from discussion in a congressional hearing because the topics are covered by the presidential communication privilege.

So, the Donald is now trying to block his former AG that he fired from testifying. Just to state the obvious question, why? What would she possibly say that is problematic to the White House? To state the obvious answer, the prospect that the Trump campaign team / administration is heading down Watergate street is becoming a real possibility. The smoke is billowing thicker and thicker.

House Intelligence Committee meeting cancelled this week.
This is normal.
So since Obama did it it's ok for Trump to do it?? I thought Trump was elected to dobthe opposite of Obama.

WH is refusing to say who had Nunes come in and "find" the alleged surveillance of the administration, only to turn around the next day and tell it to Trump, and then try to make it look like a big deal to the press. My money is on Conway or Bannon.
Also, Nunes cancelled hearings this week.
Also, WH tried to block Yates, the one that was fired by Trump, from testifying to the committee. That is still in limbo.
It is clear now that the administration is in full fledged disarray over the Russian interference issue. They are trying everything they can, including using Nunes, a transition official, to try to block further evidence from coming to light.
I am increasingly skeptical at this point that Trump's presidency will survive this. The only people really loyal to him are the people that he promised jobs to, and even they are starting to run for cover. See e.g. Nunes. He has so pizzed off the establishment that, if push comes to shove, I think the mainstream GOP is likely to side against him in any real fight.
The good news is that we will save a ton on protecting Trump Towers.
No it's not ok, I'm pointing out the unmitigated hypocrisy of people like you who kept their pie holes closed through 8 years of the most corrupt administration since Kennedy. All of a sudden you people give a ****, why is that?
Point me to your post denouncing when Obama used executive privilege to keep people from testifying in the Benghazi, IRS, Fast and Furious and other investigations.
Dude. You're comparing apples and oranges.
Would you really equate any of these investigations to the possibility that our President committed treason and our election process was manipulated by Russia? Give me a break.

You need to bone up the definition of treason. Even IF his campaign or he personally colluded with the Russians on the email leaks, IT'S NOT TREASON.
Oh, and how many people died because of alleged collusion? So yes I guess it is apples to oranges, Obama's scandals were 100x worse.
I can't wait for the Trump defenders to say we ought to take the word of a Russian oligarch or spy to just accept that it's all nonsense.
What a World we find ourselves in.
Dude. Defending Trump here if this is actually true is just silly. If it is true, our country is in a world of hurt.
