Breaking news from "BuzzFeed": Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress about the Moscow Trump Tower Project. I know that some people will just roll their eyes at this because it comes from BuzzFeed, but this becomes a big deal if this is what Cohen testifies to before Congress on February 7th. That is the President of the United States instructing his personal attorney to commit a crime.
We should see soon enough (February 7th, when Cohen testifies before Congress). It's probably a non-story if Cohen doesn't have any documentation.... but if he does? This is textbook obstruction of justice and subornation of perjury. That opens many possibilities here.Yee, the ACE are already moving into the southern border.
For Buzzfeed's sake, I hope they dotted their i's and crossed their t's on this story.
The source screen better have been set on super high.

Query to the red-hatters: Is suborning purjury sufficient to impeach and convict or just process crime?
Not a redhat but:
let's see the details. I did not consider perjury itself (Clinton) merited it so I'll wait for the official details.
Do you think Clinton's actual perjury was sufficient to impeach and convict?
I was too young to have a view on it at the time. From what we know so far, this seems more directly related to the core of the Russia investigation (potential motive for accepting Russian aid--i.e., pursuing a potential business opportunity in Russia) than Lewinsky affair was to Whitewater. Probably not a distinction with a difference legally, but it certainly made a political difference for most people.
Audio recordings tend to be credible... and we know that Cohen did surreptitiously record some of his conversations with Trump. We have heard one of them (the conversation where Cohen and Trump discuss how to pay for Karen McDougal's silence via David Pecker of the National Enquirer "... our friend, David").Someone asked for evidence Mueller's team was leaking. This either has to be from Team Mueller or from Team Cohen.
From the article it appears the facts reported are from Cohen testimony. Is Cohen a credible source?

We will see... but this is getting more and more interesting.
Is suborning perjury more serious than committing perjury? Inquiring minds want to know.
Suborning perjury could be worse than perjury, as you are creating a conspiracy in the process. The cover up could be worse than the crime, especially if there was no crime to begin with. Although a cover-up without a crime would be doubly stupid.
