TrumPutinGate

If Trump directed Cohen to lie in his congressional testimony, yes, sufficient for conviction by senate, because this goes to the heart of the special counsel's investigation (establishing contacts with Russia, possible motives for collusion, and investigating election interference).

Finally. Interesting that the criteria is that it's related to the SC investigation. Shouldn't there be other findings too that show collusion? Seems a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy without other findings but it gets OrangeMan so all is cool.

I'm guessing you don't feel the same way about Clinton; perjury smerjury.

This latest thing alone would not be enough for a successful impeachment. But it would never be initiated if that's all there was to present.

You sure about that? The rep from Puerto Rico is already calling for impeachment if this is true. Others have been calling for impeachment since inauguration!

Anyone saying anything beyond "the story raises troubling questions" is getting too far in front of their skis.
Agreed. With that said, and this is just my humble opinion, but I think this is just the beginning. Ghouliani is already dancing around, saying that he never said there was no collusion in the campaign, just that Trump didn't know about it. He's backtracking. I think what many of us have suspected for two years is likely going to be true, if not worse. Whether or not it results in impeachment, I have no clue.

I'm sure, or as sure as I can be, but I don't know what they may know that we don't know. But yeah, they wouldn't roll with just these latest allegations.

Honestly I don't see how that's possible given some of the claims made here.

Let's.

The US economy is about 5x larger than Germany's. The US pays 15x more then Germany to support NATO.

Further, the NATO treaty calls for spending at least 2% of GDP on funding NATO - several members including Germany pay less than they are obligated to pay (Germany at 1.2; US at 3.6). Only the UK (2.1), Poland (2), Estonia (2.1) and Greece (2.4) met their obligation. This is not a new phenomenon.

Not crazy to say that the deal needs work. It is crazy to seriously suggest leaving if that's not a negotiation ploy. Even if a ploy it's a dangerous game.
Not exactly true. Each member of NATO is required to spend 2% of their GDP on their own military, not to NATO.

Tell me your position not some theoretical view. You asked others to take a stance.

Mine: if the Cohen story is true and there's no collusion - not sufficient; Clinton, not sufficient.
Think back a minute to 2016. If the Buzz Feed story on Michael Cohen is correct, that means that Donald Trump told everyone that Russia was innocent of a cyber attack on the opposition party while pursuing financial gain in Moscow, he then lied about it, and then personally directed his personal attorney to lie about it too in Congressional testimony under oath. Isn't that also collusion (conspiracy) on top of suborning perjury ?

If Trump told Cohen to lie to Congress I would think everyone here would agree Trump should be impeached and convicted.
I'm curious if anyone will defend this.
I guess some will claim Cohen is the liar and Trump is the teller of truth.

If true I would support his removal. What I do find interesting is the few posters who are for his removal, if this is true, who thought it ridiculous to remove Clinton for actually committing perjury. Looking at you LG.

We have a winner.
Yep just like the dems calling for impeachment "are in front of their skis" you dems on this board are too. The guy is a buisnesses man and real estate mogul. He has deals in many countries where he's built hotels and golf courses.

Just let it all play out before you run out of lotion and have to use a dry hand.

It's always been this way and not just on this board. If he's done something bad enough to get removed then remove him. Nothing will change with with policy and Pence second in command besides 30 tweets not sent out daily.
