link to the 99% figure? Almost all I knew at least went for the physical every year. They also carried it to play sports

So at most some sort of catastrophic plan? Paying roughly $1000 a month for coverage that covers birth control and other things you do not need along with a $15k deductible is a “responsible” plan that won’t bankrupt anyone?

I don't think it's your business or barry hussein obama's. Does a single guy in his 20s really want or need insurance? (Not that I am that guy but just a point)

Cool, so we'll just cover your emergency room bills when the donut spare on your 1997 Ford Escort finally blows out and puts you in the wall on I-40.

I'm struggling with nothing. You can search my posts on Obamacare if you're interested. Pretty sure my views haven't changed much

Yes, most of the people I knew in my 20's went at least once a year. I am also 100% sure not having insurance in my 20's would have wrecked me financially.
Most people don't have major surgery in their 20s. If they went once a year they would have been better to just pay out of pocket

the type of coverage isn't really my point. The bigger idea is that dumping insurance altogether is completely irresponsible

no one is paying $1k/mo as a single person in their 20's if working for any decent sized company. I don't pay that for full coverage for my entire family

We are talking about ACA or so I thought. It’s not irresponsible to dump it if you can’t afford it.

Like getting a job and paying your own bills? I’ll add what’s the point in paying for something you can barely afford to pay and can’t afford to use if you did need it?

Cool, so the rest of us will pay your emergency room bills too. Sounds a lot like socialism to me...

I went for several years without insurance. I never had a problem (then). Would have been bad news if I'd been less lucky.

Lol. Who pays for your home if you go into foreclosure? How do you know I can’t pay my medical bills out of pocket? The only socialism is forcing people to pay for something they may not need and picking and choosing who you want to give it to for free. You want to burden the responsible people to give to those that already mooch off the system. You want to put something in place them make it the same price for EVERYONE.

Socialism is putting society's needs above the individual's rights. We're not arguing for socialism. He is.
