Smart's not dumb enough to take the Minny job. He's got a pretty good situation at VCU. If he leaves it will be for a program with a higher profile.

Around 20 games under .500 in conference play will get you fired. Good for Minnesota for not accepting mediocrity.

Bad move to fire Tubby. Minnesota is crazy if they think they can get Smart. He'll take the UCLA job before he would go to Minnesota.

Enfield won't leave FGCU this year but another run/great season like this next year and he'll be gone. There was an article on his wife a few days ago. She didn't say she wanted to leave Ft. Myers but she didn't exactly sound thrilled about living there either. I certainly got the impression that if another job in a big city opened up, she would be more than willing to make the move.

Horrible indeed plus its cold as hell up there I don't know of too many brothas running to MN. I spent one winter up there and couldn't wait to come back down south. Seriously.

Thats the best they're gonna get and they just canned him.

My bad, I forgot those yankee schools play hockey and lacrosse. They're probably awesome at lacrosse.

I have a friend who refs in the A-10 league. Back in February on a Friday night when I was bored stiff, I was channel surfing and saw him ref'ing a Stetson vs Florida Gulf Coast College game. I was amazed at the quality of the basketball. Both teams were running, gunning, making crazy dunks. So that kinda got me interested in FGCC.

But no, I didn't pick them to beat Georgetown in the bracket.

Yeah, that is a valid point. But she has three kids now, so perhaps she might tag along...? She misses the big city life

In 6 seasons he's several games under .500 in conference. His recruiting is not what they had hoped. Minnesota can achieve the same results with a HC getting half of Tubby's salary.

In the six seasons that Tubby has been Minnesota's head coach, the Gophers have failed to make the Sweet 16. He has a 50% success rate at making the NCAA tournament.

This is fine for some schools, but Minnesota is striving to be better. Good for them. Tubby hasn't lived up to his billing.
