You know who else is calling it an "insurrection" ? Republican Senator Mike Rounds from South Dakota. He is not a member of the liberal media either; nor is he a RINO. He was present that day, and more qualified to speak on the events of that day than you are.. Yet, you think this was a "violent insurrection" (parroted immediately by all your favorite MSM) despite the fact that Capitol police were walking the leader around and opening doors for him.
That's one ... and it's interesting that you had to post something from a liberal site, like The Guardian. LOL .... Tucker Carlson kisses Donald Trump's butt. Not because he likes him .... but because it's what The Cult of Trump wants to hear, and Carlson only cares about ratings.Fox News attack dog Tucker Carlson turns on Trump: 'I don't think he's capable'
Sorry, but that was very easy. It took me 11 seconds. This is from 2018 and it wasn't in a private text message.
By "one source", I assume you are talking about the January 6th Committee? Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is not only dismissing Tucker Carlson's attempt to downplay the events of January 6th, he actually said yesterday that the January 6th Committee should have gone even further and discussed the bombs that were planted the night before. You mean the way Jan 6th was presented to us for the past 3 years? From one source only.

The condemnation of Carlson for his lies ... has been bi-partisan. That can not be denied.

Tucker Carlson said that it was a mostly peaceful protest. There are now 6 Republican Senators on the public record who have called that statement a lie, and denounced him for his attempts to downplay the riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Those Republican Senators were there ... Tucker Carlson was not. What exactly cannot be denied? I’ve seen plenty of lies from the left about January 6th such as officer deaths. I know you’d never consider I post BLM suicide to be caused by blm riots.
So what lie are you accusing him of and what evidence do you have?
That was the Repubs fault. After they were told they couldn't put their nutcase reps (who are proving the wisdom of that after giving Jordan a committee where he keeps getting exposed by his own witnesses) on the panels, they withdrew from participation, except for Cheney and Kinzinger. They regret that now.
Oh wait, there were 2 Repubs on the Jan. 6 committee, imagine that. Guess it wasn't all one source.

Watch that video of *Republican* Sen. Lindsey Graham in that post you replied to .... LOL.
LOL. Of course .... because he isn't playing along with your desired narrative.Lindsey Graham is and has been a joke his entire career. He’s on video attempting to talk Ukrainians into invading Russia over a decade ago.
I imagine Tucker was simply defining January 6th the same way we do other political riots in this country. If over 51% of people are not harming others, “mostly peaceful”.
Is that your biggest complaint? A semantic difference?
I'm betting not a single person who watched Fox before these texts came out has changed his/her viewing habits. Fox has always been about telling its audience what it wants to hear, not what the truth is. That's exactly what the right wing wants. There's no doubt the Fox personalities didn't believe Trump's claims of election fraud. It's in their own words. But they knew they had to tell you what you wanted to hear. And their ratings showed it.
How was it one source? Fox had the same access as every other news source.
So is it better for a network to tell viewers what they want to hear or is it better to tell viewers what the government wants them to hear?I'm betting not a single person who watched Fox before these texts came out has changed his/her viewing habits.
