I think we are going to see that the brand loyalty was to Fox News ... not to him. He can go to Newsmax, but I don't think the audience which gave him such great ratings on Fox News will go with him.

Im not saying people will stop watching Fox entirely but they will watch Tucker over whoever Fox puts in there. Tucker "anchors" the evening. It also shows the otherwise Fox faithful that Fox has sold them out - look what they did when FN screwed the pooch early after the election. People left in droves to Newsmax who was basically a podcast till then.

A format where Tucker bitch slaps Lemon on a nightly basis would probably put Pornhub out of business.

My vote is that Fox hires Lemon and CNN hires Tucker and both networks just completely do an ideological about face.

You're conflating Trump's base with the entirety of people who voted for him.

Also, there's a demographic angle here. The fringe of the right is way more likely to consume their information via cable news than the left's fringe. Although both Fox and MSNBC have catered to the conspiratorial inklings of their bases over the last several years. IMO, Fox and MSNBC are almost perfect inverses of each other - I say this as a conservative libertarian.

Fox may simply be forced to conclude that they are no longer going to try and appeal to the right's lunatic fringe. Maybe they can start moving the line back from the 20% they helped to create to the more historical 3%.

Bud Light made a really stupid move. There is no debating that. However, the dumbest decision in the history of American corporate governance was the rollout of New Coke by Coca-Cola. The good news for them was that they were able to successfully reverse that decision.

Perhaps so. But it would be because they have decided that now they care more about a leftward shift in ideological agenda than pursuit of profit. They are in real danger of losing their base. This isnt like before when Fox and radio (a la Limbaugh) were the only outlets. Many of those they have there now the Trumpsters see as shills for Republican Inc.

Tucker was one of the few who repeatedly called the Republican establishment on the carpet but not because he was some flaming Dem in disguise like Sheppard Smith was.

And this isnt a case where he was fired for sexual harassment or some racist screed. Clearly the Dominion case is the culprit but it may cost Fox the whole enchilada in time.

Before you go pointing, I'm not the one going that deep. Charlie is. I don't watch Tucker. Seen it a few times but my nights are spent with my wife, not getting amped up over the news. This move changes my night, 0.

I haven't had a wife since 2013, but I do have a right hand ... so my nights are left unchanged as well, 0.
