That's ridiculous, but then he's their Trump, saying what the great unwashed want to hear to get those votes. Our NATO ally...
Israel Outraged After Erdogan Calls Hamas 'Liberators', Cancels Planned Trip To Mend Ties
The most surprising moment came when he said bluntly that "Hamas is not a terror organization" but is a "liberation group" rightfully fighting to protect Palestinian lands. This is raising eyebrows, and alarm no doubt, among Turkey's Western allies. After all, this is the head of state for NATO's second biggest army.

It's a very apt comparison. Erdogan uses the Trump/DeSantis/Kingfish etc. populist playbook to get the masses' support.Come on man. Just for a second leave the dumbass out of it. Just let the issue with Turkey stand alone. I don’t even want to get into the things that Joe Biden has done to attain and hold onto power.

Biden's as foul as Trump but he's a different type of politician.
Okay then, he's their Huey Long. Happy now? You’re not wrong about any of that. But we don’t have to bring Trump into everything. I keep watching liberal talking head’s criticizing mainstream media for the hospital coverage. “They say this is as bad as Trumps lies”
It’s irrelevant to the discussion and takes away from what’s being discussed
Erdogan is trying to do what Yanukovich was trying to do in 2013. Why choose between one side or the other? Look at where Ukraine and Turkiye are located on a map. It is in their best interests to have good relations with both east and west. The only side that has an issue with this is the west. They want 110% loyalty to them or nothing at all.Another shove toward the Brics and away from NATO/EU?

He tried to charm his way in, but it’s obvious he’s an extremist.apple.news
Their trade is heavily dominated by the west, because that is where the money is. 7 of the top 10, and all of their top 4 are the West. #5 is Iraq, #9 Israel, #10 Russia, for the "non-west".Erdogan is trying to to what Yanukovich was trying to do in 2013. This game the west plays is not sustsainable. Instead of isolating countries that want to have good relations with all, the west is antogonizing and isolating itself. Just stupid geopolitics.
