TV, movies, music, Books and whatnot.

I watched the first 8 episodes mainly because I'm an Arielle Kebbel fan. It's a decent Baywatch Hawaii knockoff, but it's not as entertaining as Baywatch.
Lulz.

I hate Severide and he's your favorite. I had to Google Arielle Kebbel, she's my least favorite on that show. I keep hoping she falls off a jet ski and drowns.

I never watched Baywatch but assumed that's what this show was, a Hawaiian Baywatch. I'm not even trying to justify my attraction to it. I like it. Is what it is.

I like the dude that plays the Mayor he was Pope in Animal Kingdom.

You been under a rock?

It's been filmed since 2022. It was originally scheduled for release last spring but was pulled because of the writers strike (that was the official story) most believe it was because of the controversy around the star Rachel Zegler and her hate for the original 1937 Disney classic.

Their was also controversy before filming with actor Peter Dinglage saying it glorified dwarfism or something making other dwarf actors upset some responded negatively to Dinklage's comments, feeling he was unduly speaking on their behalf and costing them roles. Disney soon announced they would "take a different approach to these seven characters"

When they trailer was released on YouTube it became the most hated film trailer on the YouTube platform.

The budget is said to be anywhere from $240-270 million. It's opening day projections has continued to drop, right now it's projected to be less than $50 million.
NGAFT what Peter Dinkledoo thanks about the little people

wow and seriously the irony of your posting re: the pic of the Hawthorne....I say that because today, my students told me nobody had ever shown them how Roman numerals work
I started a blank whiteboard and we did 1-100 (projecting the screen)....moved it to thousands.....then I showed them the error from the Claymation Rudolph, which says Copyright 1164....dat was gud Claymation about 250 years before Agincourt hahahahahaha

That and the Dante 3rd edition were really cool.

There was a Kafka exhibit I enjoyed as well.

She hasn't aged well, was really cute when she was you younger.

You must be fairly young to have never seen Baywatch. I grew up with it and I think I could perform CPR if I had to because of it.🤷‍♂️

@GordonC interesting write up hur
That film is really interesting to read about all its controversies. Some thought it might never be released and Disney would right it off as a loss the way Warner Bros. did recently with the completed films Batgirl that co-starred JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Brendan Frazer and Michael Keaton reprizing his role as Bruce Wayne from Batman 1989 and a Live Action/animated Loony Tunes film that starred John Cena.

I’m 57 and have never watched an episode of Baywatch. I did see the movie and thought it was pretty funny.
The movie was blasphemy and nothing like the series.

I've never understood why Hollywood has continually took very good 70's & 80's television shows and turned them in to comedy films like Baywatch, the Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky & Hutch, CHIPS, The A-Team. I've not seen The Fall Guy yet.

I did see the movie. I like The Rock and Efron. Daddario ain't too shabby to look at. Though she can't act.

Do not like Hasselhof, Anderson and most of those other fake tiddy skanks. I might have checked it out a few times if they'd (women) worn better bathing suits.

Ruined Miami Vice too

Blasphemy? Lol.

I liked all those movies. Chips had it's moments that were funny a chit. The show sucked.

I liked the A team back in the day, but I watched part of an episode not long ago...lol. it was horrible.

I can't watch an episode of The A-Team in it's final Season (5) when they were working for Robert Vaughn.
