I've followed a few great shows that had great storylines the past few years but never survived one season. Mainly the production cost way more than the ratings they were receiving.
Invasion (05-06)
Jericho (06-08)
FlashForward (09-10)
Never understood why Jericho didn't do better in the ratings. If the fans of the show had put as much in to supporting the show as they did to protesting it's cancelation, then it would have survived.

I personally think pretty much "reality" anything is overrated. I don't watch any of it anymore.
Names I didn't notice that I think are underrated:
Firefly
Sledge Hammer
Sports Night
The Tick (animated) Silly, but made me laugh
Life
Yeah, CBS originally planned to pull the plug after that first season, but they got a huge backlash from fans so they came back with 6 more epiodes to bring the story to an end. The ending wasn't very well done IMO.I really enjoyed Jericho but when season one or two whichever it was ended, it was off the air for so long that when it came back, I had forgotten about it and never went back. I would imagine I'm not alone in that.
I knew I liked you
Sledge was a classic.
Life is the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread title. The first season was awesome and the last episode of that season was the bomb - especially when he was driving that GNX like a boss.
The female cop was smoking hot too.

Most people I've encountered that don't like Seinfeld just flat don't get the show. And I don't mean you're too dumb to get it. It's kind of like British comedy. it's just a brand of humor that escapes some people.
I think it would be remiss if we didn't say that the sex tape that the girl from Teen Mom sold made her 1 million dollars (and her father helped broker the deal).
That almost makes it worth it. and by almost I mean... if you have no problem with all dignity for your great grandchildren being gone before they are born.
