'20 TX QB Haynes King (TAMU Commit)

There's not a left or right tackle in the top 30 salaries in the league. Only 3 in the top 50. There are a lot of qbs and pass rushers though. A third of the top 30 are guys who are known for pressuring the qb.

NFL Rankings
I learned something new today. Never bothered to question it since “The Blind Side”

My opinions on Trevor Lawrence have nothing to do with king. This is a King thread so I’ll kindly check out. A difference in opinion is why these threads are so popular so stop comparing me to past users or taking shots.

Calm down

I thought this was the finals.... huh they changed it since I watched last.
That’s the way it’s always been. The best way to tell what stage it’s in is counting the qbs involved. The elite 11 is a competition with the nations best 24 (average)qbs. Only 12 move on to “The Opening”. Those 12 ARE the elite 11 qbs.

Then why is it elite 11

Calm down
I’m good. Just wondering why some come to threads like these if they get upset to the point of taking cheap shots that have nothing to do with the debate itself. It’s actually ok if someone sees things from a different perspective.

I've often wondered that myself. But when they play 7v7 qb1 and qb12 are on a team qb2 and qb11, and so on. Pretty sure that's how it works out.
That makes sense but call it the dirty dozen or something not elite 11+1

Then why is it elite 11
They have to determine who the elite 11 qbs are out of the top 24 or so. But the fact that they take 12 is a question that gets asked every year. The best answer I can think of is because there will be 6 7on7 teams. Each with 2 qbs. If they only take 11 it’ll be uneven.

I’m sure that has a lot to do with the fact that it’s been called the elite 11 for 20+ years or however long. I’m sure in the beginning there were only 11 which prompted the name. It’s become such a big name that they’ll never change it no matter how they change the process.

You would also think that because there are 2 qbs per team that it would be a fair competition and alternate series. It’s not. The higher ranked qb gets the start until the coaches decide to make a switch. Could be every series or never. That being said if HB or King finish 5 or below don’t count on either of them getting a fair shot at the title.

Bailey has the experience edge in the 7v7 category. Not worried about that.
