If he tanks, he'll be replaced before years end. But I really think he has the tools, just hope his pocket presents is greatly improved and there's a great chance of that with the new coaching.Yep, either JG takes a big step forward in 2019 and rides the momentum to the draft, or it’s more of the same performance and the coaches go youth movement in 2020. Either way he’s gone.

But there are others on here thanking Botch Jones for his top 5 recruiting classes. Just goes to show what an ass hat that loser really was. I hope one day he gets a coaching job somewhere and put him on the schedule but I do not think they would let us play against a midget league football team. He was so pathetic there are no words.Word on street is that certain OL were in it only to get to the League. Purge the me attitudes. Can only go up from here.
i am truly starting to think pruitt's coaching job last year may have been pretty good. apprently our roster was ****.

I’m amazed that people think JG will not be here next year. Will he even be the best in the SEC? What has anyone seen that makes you believe this? I hope he does have the the kind of year that gets him drafted, that means a great year for Tennessee.
Or 4, JG has an above average year but is his strongest towards the end. Believes he could increase his stock with one more year. Why would JG be here next year? You have three main options. Keep in mind he has a degree already.
1) JG has a great 2019 season and joins a draft class that is projected to be softer for QBs in 2020 with mainly Justin Herbert and possibly Fromm and Eason if they go early.
2) JG has a great 2019 season, returns for 2020, and joins a stronger QB draft class with possibly Trevor Lawrence & Justin Fields. Also Fromm, Eason, and Tua if they all stay for their senior seasons.
3) JG has a mediocre to average season and the coaches move on to the younger talent in 2020. He probably grad transfers in Spring 2020.
In my opinion #3 is most likely.
He actually played pretty well last year but his OL was terrible and in year 1 of an entirely new staff. It's now year two, he's bigger, stronger, and a well seasoned vet. He has the size, arm strength and tools that the NFL looks for, he just needs a good productive season. And he's already graduated. This year his OL will be better and he has a much better OC, who's proven to make QB's much better. Add all that up and the optimism that he'll get drafted makes sense, IMO.I’m amazed that people think JG will not be here next year. Will he even be the best in the SEC? Or just loves UT like Manning.
These aren't my guesses, I just don't see it as a far stretched option.

JG has had four OCs in four years. The last two years he has played behind O lines that were disgracefully bad. And he was in a "Football by Lyle" system for two years.
But JG is tough, he's smart, and he has the work ethic of a soldier ant. He has had to overcome a lot, and still he has remained focused and upbeat. I think this is his year to break out and succeed on the big SEC stage.
