Prior to NIL, $100K was huge under the table money for a recruit. With NIL multiply by 10.This^
There’s money here, we know because Pruitt was paying players well.
They are just behind in figuring out how to put that money into NIL deals. But they need to fast!
And is pushing NIL deals? Why do teams even want him? He's not a 1st rounder here
What in the hell are you talking about? No Rb wants their bodies beat up by an excessive amount of carries in college. Most top recruits ask about NIL deals. As far as a being a 1st rd guy he very well could be if he continues on the path he's on now he's projected with a 1st or 3rdd rd pick now. Everyone in UGA Rb room has a NIL and they all share carries and will do well in the NFL.
do you think all 4 and 5 star recruits come to programs like this?Do they lead with saying they don't want excessive carries and then demand big $? Sounds like a manager asking for a salary raise and then saying he only wants 20 hours per week. More power to him if he can do that but sounds like something only a desperate team would do.
did Ole Miss just show him film of Ealy and tell him he could be Beast-Ealy but doesn't have to be their everything?
If this man is getting 7 digits he better run that damn ball as many times as we need him to
Everyone knows what Zach is and they know his potential. They're just showing him what they have to offer and how what his skillset and wants fits that. Wherever he decides will get a top tier Rb who is a game breaker
he's asking questions that any RB planning on going pro and aiming for longevity in their career would ask. he's asking questions that anyone making money would ask before taking another role at a new org.
the average RB is lucky to last 2 years in the NFL. that means one contract, probably not even a good one.
even when they make it to the 2nd contract, hopefully a multi-year multi-million, they still have to 27 to basically make their money and their mark before their body breaks down.
these are facts. he's making a measured decision. give him a break.
There's a difference between "I Will Give My All For Tennessee" and "I Will Give Everything Away To Play Here"
I understand that, and it's very honorable and romantic, but college football is different now. Those players didn't know what players know today about health and career longevity either.Back in my day kids wore the Power T with pride and would give their all for their University and a chance to make it to the next level.
That is the reason it is time to push this thing out into a farm league and let the NFL finance it.I understand that, and it's very honorable and romantic, but college football is different now. Those players didn't know what players know today about health and career longevity either.
And unless your day is older than 50 years ago, chances are that those guys were getting benefits as well and knew their worth.
