I get that money is a big deal to these kids as many don’t come form much. But it’s craziness to me that people are sitting down with coaches and only discussing money and that being the sole decision maker. So if we offer $250k, lifelong connections from being a VFL, and great development to get to the league and you turn us down because someone else offers 500k then the kids are getting bad advice. My neighbor was standing next to Peyton at Al’s induction and he barely played at UT but he is a VFL and has many connections.

Handlers don’t get a cut off lifelong connections.

Eh at the point, he can just go to OM. He sounds like way too much of a headache especially for a 1 year rental. If he wants insane NIL deals then he can stay at TCU
Yeah go to ole miss so I can re live dexter Mcluster putting up 300 yards against us next year. Only this time kiffin is on the giving end

Maybe the Coaching Staff told him not to come because he is too much of a distraction this weekend.....
We don't need a Me Guy we need a team player.
Maybe The reason for Swain stated no visit
Evans is like the pretty girl in HS you thought you wanted to date but don't want to because of her issues, wants, needs and attitude
Just not worth it....

Makes me wonder what he's getting out of it?

I have no feelings about De1 either way, but you're right in that he is sounding a lot like a handler or an agent.

And to me that means he is being compensated somewhere or somehow.

He also stated that Ad's listening to dumbazz fans have ruined college football.

I would counter that years of cheating by paying players, bagmen, and those looking to personally profit off these young men that don't know any better have done more damage than any Ad.

Just my .02 cents which doesn't mean squat.
Lol if you’ve seen his posts you know he doesn’t mind coaches paying people off. And to be fair every sec school is paying people to steer kids their way. The only reason we’re not right now is bc we got caught cheating before. Not really caught but basically turned ourselves in to turn over the athletic department. It’s a business for coaches, players, and handlers that advise kids where to go, hard to tell a kid to go to an organization that shoots itself in the foot bc they want an AD and coach out.

Man’s love of money…. Ruins everything. Absolutely everything. I agree with you. Also, how dirty must these coaches feel having to
discuss endorsement opportunities with recruits. These guys just want to coach ball….

I do wonder if we see a shift in the future of GM types hired as head coaches and not football gurus.

This kid teases schools so much it feels like he must have the same agent as Tony Elliott.

Dabo is black balling Tony Elliott like he black balls his commitments.

Dabo: “Listen Tony.. If you speak with Virginia you may not have the DC position when you return. Just saying.. the Clemson family wants what’s best for you. Just think about it.” 😉

Good Lord, folks.

It's ok to say you don't want a player to come here without labeling him as a team cancer or future convict. Plus, if he had a last minute change of heart and decided to come here, we'd all be celebrating him and proud of our coaches for giving him the benefit of the doubt.

The great thing and also the worst thing about this message board is that we get a small glimpse at how the sausage is made. It can be really disconcerting at times. There are times when I wish I didn’t pay any attention to this stuff and just resumed interest in the Fall, with the players already locked in to the team.

But then again…

Just remember - recruiting, like sausage making, is a messy business, let’s try not to attack the kids who might still end up on our team just because we get some (probably skewed and limited) views into the behind the scenes stuff.

It’s comical to see some the of things some of y’all come up with when a kid isn’t planning to come here lolol.
I don't think I've commented on this particular kid... but if its a choice I would rather have Williams regardless.

Both would be nice but Williams added to Small and Wright makes a pretty good backfield. Whitehead may have a role too.

When we really get serious about competing for SEC titles again, we will get guys like this. We aren't there yet, everyone is not moving in the same direction IMO. Otherwise this would be a done deal by now, JMO.

Is he good enough to carry the team to the 4 team playoff next year? If not, not worth the asking for one year.

Tony Elliott: Listen Dabo... I'm leaving because you couldn't remember I was the OC not the DC...
