on monday, bush will stop in knoxville and spend time with the tennessee staff. He's become very fond of quarterbacks coach mike canales, who is recruiting him for the vols. He's also looking forward to meeting the rest of the coaches.
"he's really consistent and straight to the point," bush said. "he came and saw me during spring and we stay in constant touch. They tell me that i can be a really dominant receiver there. They only have one spot left and they want me to take this visit serious."
bush visited georgia this weekend and will see most of the sec on this trip. He's looking forward to monday because it will give him an idea if he will fit into the culture at tennessee. "i know they have a dominant passing offense," bush said. "they like to throw it up to their receivers. I'm excited to meet the coaches and have my parents meet them in person. I'm looking forward to this visit."
"i'm a big receiver that can play small," bush said. "i can also play big, but i'm not just a receiving receiver. I play for a running team and i have a history of blocking. I'm just hungry. When i'm on the field, i don't talk a lot. I just go out and play."
bush loves to watch his favorite team, the pittsburgh steelers and one of his favorite receivers antonio brown. A star that butch jones is all to familiar with having coached him in college.
Just off phone with Tommy Bush. He enjoyed his visit this morning and early afternoon. The one thing he didn't get to do is meet Kevin Beard. That was something he kept bringing up. Really liked the campus and the amenities. Liked his time with CBJ.
Tommy Bush has spent the past week on the road, traveling throughout the Southeast to visit several of the more than 40 colleges pursuing him.The trip allowed him to take his first look at Tennessee. The four-star rising senior wide receiver from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas, said he was “blown away” by his “awesome” visit with the Vols on Monday, and he’s already hoping to attend one of Tennessee’s games this season.
“Tennessee was a very intriguing offer,” said Bush. “When I first saw it, I was like, ‘Wow.’ I thought of Peyton Manning and all those times, and then Tee Martin — which he’s recruiting me out at USC right now — and then I looked at Joshua Dobbs, the season he had last year. It’s just a lot of great players that came out of there in the past.
“The second part of it is being part of the SEC, so I wanted to check it out. This is a school that has a great tradition, so I just had to check it out. And then (wide receivers) coach (Kevin) Beard has been really awesome, and I heard so many good things about (head) coach (Butch) Jones, and they were all awesome. I hated that I didn’t get to meet Coach Beard, but they were all awesome.
“And the facilities are first-class. I was blown away by the new additions they added onto the practice field and the new dorms that they have, the downstairs dining facility that they have in there and just the academics that they presented me with.”
“I just knew about Rocky Top, and I just knew that they have so many fans and they’re very supportive of them,” he said. “Not a whole lot about the actual Tennessee, but I studied a little bit about the offense, saw some of the things they did on offense, but not a whole lot. I was really, really blown away, though.”

Also noted he is an Air Force brat, and thus no one should expect him to stay in-state. He wants to visit for a game, but if he can't make a home game, he will try to see us play away closer to where he lives.
