Tyler Bray signing with Chiefs, NOT dolphins.

Yeah, it'd be great for Tyler Bray if he ends up starting one day. However, if individuals that made a living evaluating talent and potential felt like Bray had the potential to "be on of the best QBs in the NFL" or to "play on TV this upcoming season", they probably would have spent a draft pick on him.

Bray has a strong arm and, yes, Andy Reid has worked well with QBs. Yet, look at the QBs Reid has worked with, which individuals in here, and elsewhere, suggest as reasons he will make an undrafted Bray a great QB:

Kevin Kolb: 2nd Round Pick
Michael Vick: 1st pick of the draft
Donovan McNabb: 2nd pick of the draft

Maybe some want to throw Koy Detmer in there, but he started, what, a handful of games, at most?

The odds are stacked against Bray. He will not be the QB getting the most attention from Reid (Smith and Daniel will be getting the most attention from Reid). He will not get many reps. He has a history of not caring which has affected his play. And, he will have to make the most of his reps, in order to earn more attention from the staff, while working with other third and fourth string guys against what could be one of the top defensive units in the NFL this upcoming season.

If you honestly think Bray is going to come through and be a star, you ought to at least be prepared for the pending disappointment.

Or maybe the first thing to do is believe the kid by being body slammed by reality, will learn the world rotates according to the laws of gravity and the Bray principle. And will sit his rear down and listen to his coach and implement what he learns. Then if he doesn't do that, shrug and let it go as it will be his choice and so will the consequences. But first, one should hope and expect the best and the other way around as you have it.

The more I think about it the more I like it. Michael Vick is dumb as a rock and look at how Andy Reid worked with him to learn to read defenses instead of scrambling on every play (obviously he still does on occasion). If Bray will put in the work, he might have a long career their. I wish him the best.

Really, you need help with that one. It is just sad really. Wear the team T-shirt, jacket, sweater, whatever, just turn that jersey in.

You ever been to a pro game? At least 50% fans wear jerseys

Why are you concerned with what others wear?

Bray has a pro level arm but lacks in maturity and the " head game", which can be the toughest part (think Heath Schuler).
Reid is a great coach who should be able to coach up raw talent if bray has the mental fortitude.
As Tennessee fans we should all be proud of him in that he made it to the the show. We should all hope he does well and represent the university well. A success at qb in the pros makes recruiting big qb's easier and UT more attractive in the future.
Go get em Mr Bray! Best of luck and make the volnation proud. We all ( even the permanent-negativists) are behind you!

So wait Andy Reid is a good qb coach . Well then Alex smith a former number 1 pick will learn to play better then but chase Daniel just came from the saints he is 5-9 not nearly the talent as Bray

Bray will have to beat out Ricky Stanzi from Iowa, to get the 3rd spot on the roster

If Bray mentally puts it together he can beat out all the chiefs qb,s

And IF I had six more inches I would be known as "Gramps the Wad" and be the star in 500+ porn movies.

If is no doubt the biggest little word in the English language.

After the 3rd round came and went this is actually the best thing to happen to Bray. Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson about his attitude and actions. If he takes that lesson to heart he should emerge as a better QB. He also gets to pick which team gives him the best shot at surviving FA. Someone mentioned on the first page that he better not go in with an "I'm a star" attitude. I don't see how that is possible for an undrafted free agent who never won a meaningful game.

You ask why no jersey, I am not concerned, I just think it is childish. As far as the pro games, I would not say 50 percent, but yeah it is a good amount and to be honest I never have got it.

This somehow got two likes. Can someone explain what this blithering mess means?

Some kind of secret society thing...protecting Bray...doubt his success and you'll be forbidden to buy his jersey...and EB will benefit from the positive energy of the true jersey buyers...ONEOFUS...ONEOFUS...ONEOFUS

We will never find a more accurate post on VN. You nailed it. There were what, something like 50 picks in the 7th round? If a team felt Bray had any inkling of a chance to be good, they would have at least burned a 7th round pick on him.

The odds are indeed long. Could it happen? Yes. But we could all be struck by lightning and win the Powerball lottery tomorrow too.....

Have you not noticed that Kansas City is located at confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers? Bray can leave the stadium and walk to a waiting jet ski in minutes.

I've never seen anyone jet ski on either the Kaw or the Mighty Mo' in the vicinity of Kansas City.
