skepticism over mock drafts makes sense, but they have it right about the omission of Hansbrough.I don't think he'll be a benchwarmer anymore than I think he will be an All Star...and I'm not under any delusions that he will be one of the best in the league....but from what I've seen recently when I've tried my best to sit through an NBA game I truly believe he will find some kind of niche for some team out there and be a 20 minute, 8-10 point, 6-8 rebound guy
And as far as the mock drafts are concerned...the last one I saw on ESPN had Brandon Jennings(a kid who...last I heard...is getting his ass handed to him in Europe) ahead of Ty Lawson...a PG with a 8:1 assist to turnver ratio in a fastbreak centered offense...so I don't put alot of stock into those
I hate the NBA, so I honestly do care too much after he get out of UNC. Come to think of it, I dont care what he does now lol. I lived in Durham for awhile, hence becoming a dukie which lead to my hate of UNC. I respect them, just dont like them.
the overdone great white hype thing is the most annoying thing in college basketball.I hear you...I despise the NBA...so I try to focus solely on the college game and when people use the NBA as proof that Hansbrough sucks it annoys me
My Mom's family is from TN and has strong ties to UT but my Dad's family is from NC and has strong UNC ties...that's why I have strong allegiances to both(that and I'm a UT alum)
The thing about Hansbrough to me is that I understand why so many don't like him....he does seem to flop, he gets too much favoritism from the refs, his style of play is not pretty and leaves you baffled at how effective it is, and I swear Dickie V would marry him if he could...I'd probably hate him too if he didn't play for a team I pull for
But regardless...he is one of the most effective(and therefore...IMO..the best) COLLEGE players
I think some people have an opinion of him that is as unreasonably critical as Dick Vitales is unreasonably celebratory
the overdone great white hype thing is the most annoying thing in college basketball.
It amazes me that Vitale hasn't run 50 miles out of his way to proclaim Stephenson the best player on earth for what he did while Hansbrough was wounded.
my bad. I was talking about Deon Thompson. You mean Thompspon?
IMO...Thompson is going to be a better NBA player than Hansbrough...he's taller, longer, has more effective post moves and only needs a mid-range jumper to be a good PF in the NBA...
But like I said before...I hate the NBA so it doesn't really matter to me
I hate Dickie V. Although his love of TH has shut up the UNC fans who proclaim Dickie V is prejudice to Duke.
You're right about that....earlier this decade when Duke was at the top and UNC was struggling I really thought he had a bias towards Duke...
But now I realize he's just a jackass who slurps the latest and greatest thing going
NBA players just love Great White Hypes. I can't wait for Kenyon Martin or Zach Randolph to go Kermit Washington on Sucko T the first time he hits one of them with his spastic elbows.
I can assure you, NBA refs will give a damn less about Joe Wolf, V. 2.0.Very well said. I might hate Tyler Hansbrough more than a lot of people on this earth.
Polar opposite of my view... The refs on their knees night in and night out. They compete with the announcers to see who can make more love to him.
