According to posters over on TOS, they are saying that both guns were registered and or claimed by Tyler and we should hear an announcement today that he is off the team.

Wow! Nice decision T. Get ready for life floating around Europe... I still wish him the best, just a dumb move.

LOL, I agree with you, but facts are facts I suppose.

Also with this post, I'm not saying he is the only person getting kicked off....but he is the only one that could possibly be kicked off as soon as today from what I understand.

Kick them all off, seriously. It's not like this team was in contention for a NC anyways. This has to end, kick them all off.

Whoa, Relax. I would like the driver with the open container, gone (also the one responsible for the vehicle) and of course the gun owner(T. Smith) but don't affect these kids with were cupable of being stupid and ignorant to someone else in the car. Let Tatum/Goins come back to the team and finish their lives at University of Tennessee.

Everyone in the car is just as guilty. They knew the guns were in the car, they knew marijuana was in the car, and they knew alcohol was in the car. At some point, this has to end. I hate it just as much as everyone else does, but letting it go by the wayside is much worse.

And what exactly were you expecting to come out of this mess? Tyler to play against Kansas? C'mon man, no way this can/could end without dismissal(s).

I think since Tyler is a Senior, he is taking the responsibility---for the younger guys----his last contribution as a Vol. May not matter, though.

Tyler Smith may still get a shot in the NBA. He would fit right in the Wizards' locker room.

Jeez guys, I have never seen UT fans this hysterical over an incident in my 25 years supporting the Vols. Calm down and think a little rationally. All four are not equally guilty, quit saying that. There was a lot of stupidity going on there, but being in the presence of guns and actually owning the guns are different levels of culpability. In a perfect world, yes, Tatum and Goins say they will ride the bus or whatever, but, in reality, few people would do this. Throw in the fact that some have a history and some don't. Based on those factors, to me, it seems that Tyler should definitely go, Brian should, as well, whereas Goins and Tatum will have suspensions.

Personally, I think some of you just want the kids removed to set an example or have some kind of release for your anger, which is the wrong way to handle the situation if you are Pearl. Fans are way too emotional and reactionary and this incident proves it to me. People seem to have this need to feel good about themselves rooting for the team that supersedes what should actually happen to the kids if you are dealing with them on a day to day basis.

I'm confused , they were all aware that they were in the car according to police records. I'm not saying I want them all gone but your list of those you want gone and your list of those who stay means there must have been 8 guys in the car. LOL

Good post, I guess people forget that these GUYS aren't our little robots, they are human beings with lives. I would hope these people wouldn't say these things if their brother or son were to make a mistake.
