Just another needle - It's FUBAR not foobarred. It's a military acronym from WWII. The more politically correct version means Fouled Up Beyond All Repair (or sometimes recognition). The original was more profane.
I hate this even as a UK fan. Who couldn't love Pat Summitt. Maybe it was a mistake to start so young as a head coach. How many screwed up at his age? We all have.
So brassie, the ever-present Yukon troll and JSnottie a-kiss, mayhaps you didn't realize that FUBAR has been translated to FOOBAR, an equivalent term with a little foosball thrown in that doesn't end up up with old WWII terminology that you love. Now go back and smucker JSnottie's patootie and be as worthless as always. Your smack on the BY is crap, and why drag it over here??? Maybe the LVs don't need your snarky crap, so why spew here. This is an LV site, not a place for brassie to be smug. Oh, and I hope we're not being too "profane" for you.Just another needle - It's FUBAR not foobarred. It's a military acronym from WWII. I got booted from some boards for taking up for Pat Summitt. People making terrible remarks without regard for her condition.
I would think murder is more unforgivable than an affair. He will coach again. Many many coaches have had affairs and are still coaching today. I don't condone it at all but geez. It's not murder but I do pray for all affectedHere's the problem I have with that logic. I made many, many mistakes in my early and mid twenties. None of them involved sleeping with married people. None of them involved with sleeping with people who when I was (theoretically) married. None of them involved sleeping with someone who was under my supervision/authority (and that opportunity DID present itself). So I have a VERY hard time summoning any sympathy for Tyler or the young woman involved. There are some mistakes that are understandable. And there are some that are unforgivable. This incident falls much closer to the "unforgivable" end of the spectrum than the "understandable" one.
