Don't be silly. There's nothing that money can't buy.......if you have enough of it. Money will definitely play a part. Money and long term security.

Aren't we happy to hear he wants to fight for a coach we are about to hire.

I certainly am.

Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich has vowed to fight to keep Strong, who has a 24-14 record in three seasons.

Jurich said the university would make Strong the highest-paid coach in the nation.

"We'll make him No. 1 if we have to," Jurich said in October.

It's been known he's not afraid to throw around the ducats.

For one year.

I just can't see Louisville siphoning off enough money for him to stay there.

Nice try though, Tom. I do wish you were our AD.

Doesn't Louisville get a lot of money from Papa Johns? I guess Peyton is doing a good job marketing their pizza. Can we assume Peyton thinks Strong should stay in Louisville?

Jurich just said it's going to come down to whether or not Strong wants to be in Louisville.

That's bluster. They don't have the resources to do that. Look at their stadium and facilities. MTSU has better. Big East teams are not going to get in a bidding war with those from bigger conferences. Even if they could match the salary, they are way behind in every other facet.

Tom Jurich is one of the best ADs in the country. It speaks volumes that he would go to such lengths to keep Strong.
