Does Louisville even have 6 million a year to give to Strong? Isn't that what Brown makes at Texas?

They make a lot off their basketball program. I probably have the money.

He can do no wrong in this town. Jurich will make a compelling case to stay.

Why all of the hate for Strong?
That's what haters do. Some will try to hide behind the notion that it's the Big East and all, but I'm sure some of those same folks are just flat out racists.

The guy was qualified BEFORE he went to UL. He's got 2 NC's under his belt as a DC for UF. Dan Mullen had no HC experience and he turned out to be a great hire for MSU.
No prospect out there is a sure thing. Not even Gruden.

Strong's connections to Florida recruiting circles, along with his DL coach, from Miami, and if he could get Randy Shannon (very successful DC from Miami) from TCU, then the Florida recruiting pipeline would be solid gold. I know Strong would oversee the D the way Saban does at Bama, but him and Shannon would be just what this program needs. Tough as nails defense, first.

Keep Chaney, Pittman, and Graham + convince Bray, Hunter and CP to stay another year, and it's ON!

Tom Jurich is one of the best ADs in the country. It speaks volumes that he would go to such lengths to keep Strong.

I think this is what's selling me on Strong most of all. Tom Jurich is a fantastic AD. If he wants to keep Strong, that speaks volumes. Rick Pitino came to Louisville in large part because of him.

It's the same principle at work with Larry Fedora. Jeremy Foley thinks very highly of him. You can't ignore when proven people notice top performers.

I think Strong stays because of Jurich, but if UT can get him I think it's a good hire.

Seriously... Really? Because you do not agree with the hiring of a coach...:eek:lol:

With the divided fanbase, the second after that first loss, there might be 40,000 in Neyland too.

After FL and OREGON hang half a hundred on us you won't be able to give away those 300 dollar season tickets

Saw on Twitter that he said he wants to keep Strong but the question is, does Strong want to stay?

If you think Strong is in anyway related to Dooley as a coach, then you are ignorant...straight up ignorant

That's bluster. They don't have the resources to do that. Look at their stadium and facilities. MTSU has better. Big East teams are not going to get in a bidding war with those from bigger conferences. Even if they could match the salary, they are way behind in every other facet.

They have 2nd biggest ad budget in acc, which is their new conference

If Strong is the man, I will support him 100% until he gives me a reason not to. He is not a bad coach. Is he good enough for UT? We'll see soon enough. I just hope the majority of the fan base is not like some of you on here. You are ready to throw him out with the first loss. Let the man get his chance (if he is hired).
And on Hart, I don't believe for one second that he wouldn't get the best hire he can if another coach is willing to be here. Some big names have been thrown around. Have you taken a second to think that maybe they don't want to come?

What evidence do you have that he is not? Except telling anyone who disagrees with you to root for another team?

First off he has a winning record as a head coach, anything else you need or you just wanna keep spouting off that pie hole of yours?

Typical over the top answer from a 12 year old boy with a rhino with clubs as his avatar.

All I asked is what makes you believe he will not be Dooley 2.0.

He has a 24 - 14 record in a very easy conference with losses to very dooley like teams (KY, Syracuse, Ucon)

You can either be a big boy and try to give a rational answer or come back with another weak insult to hide you lack of a mind

First off, that ain't no Rhino with clubs Copernicus, second, I gave you a reason, he is better than Dooley as a head coach when we hired him. And coming from a guy with an a name like spawn, who is a crappy comic book character, i'll ask again, what are you 12?

Please try to answer the question? I gave you a real question and you come back with nothing.

He it is again for you real slow....

With Dooley type losses to KY, UCON, and Syracuse and a very average 24 - 14 record in a weak conference, what makes you think he will be great? Jeez

Charlie Strong would be a fantastic hire for UT. Regardless, you both sound like morons arguing about cartoon characters.

All I am trying to ask is what makes you so confident? I've given my thoughts on the Dooley type losses and record. Just curious why ?

Proven stud recruiter, very established career in the SEC as a coordinator (not just an asst like Dooley was), winning record all three seasons and one conference championship/BCS appearance at Louisville.

Check the record of the school before he got there.

The fact that they're 10-2 after only 3 years is incredible. They've also made huge strides on defense since his arrival.

Guys, don't try arguing or using facts with posters like Spawn - if we hire any coach but Gruden, Spawn and the other Grudenites are going to trash them like we had just hired Gerry Dinardo....

PS. Great picture of Angron, Rhino!

Take notice of the word "some." That means not all, but a portion of. When the guy has 2 National Championship rings on his finger as a DC, and has turned around a dumpster fire program like UL was, as a HC....something tells me there's more to their objections than merit alone.

Just like some here do not want a black QB, and try to provide only examples of failures (not mentioning the successful ones), as their rationale.
