I’ll reply to your post with an opinion on his silence not based on party lines and I could be wrong, it’s only an opinion.

It’s possible he’s heard information on it now that’s he’s in office and decided not to share with the public currently due to national security reasons. In any case when he does say something about it now I doubt we get the whole truth as I already posted.
