We have to be there I think, because of the oil. We canโ€™t let them block off the area where Saudi Arabia brings the oil out. Since Biden has stopped the oil flow here, we have gone back to depending on other countries again. We really were leading the world in gas and oil production. I think if Iran continues to do the things they are doing, something Is going to have to give. Question is, will Biden Threaten them like Trump did? Probably not, and thatโ€™s the scariest part right now.
You are trying to solve a domestic problem (Biden and the US not doing more domestic energy production) with an imperial solution. Plus, if what you say is true, and Biden cut domestic production, wtf makes you think he (or they) really care about foreign production?

Look, I've been over this in the past and don't feel like going back over it again. But I swear the propaganda machine that is behind the idea of occupying the Middle East and calling Iran and Syria our enemies is probably twice as successful as the anti-Russia propaganda.

Leave. Not our business.

If Iran (or NK) launches one nuke at us, respond with 500.

We're not protecting oil we're protecting the dollar. The US will increase and kill anyone who dares threaten that

When did we stop calling mercenaries, mercenaries and start calling them contractors btw? Iโ€™m always interested in the evolution of what we call things, especially where the military/war is concerned.

Soldierโ€™s heart = shell shock = war neurosis = combat fatigue = PTSD

There's a fine line between an armed contractor providing security and a mercenary. Contractors as a whole have been around for a long time and typically have been called "contractors" in government speak. A member of Lockheed for example going to Iraq and training the IAF on maintenance and upkeep for F-16s is a "contractor."

The same could be said of Triple Canopy being contracted to provide VIP protection to Ambassadors and such. Single job with restrictions.

The line does get fuzzy when you have companies being hired for offensive actions. Like Blackwater doing convoy security or taking offensive actions. These are your traditional "mercenary" companies in my mind. Which we saw in Iraq and the Stan on a regular basis until the massacre in Iraq.

Overall, I do think there are differences in armed contracted security which tends to be common even in the US and "mercenary" companies that are willing to go in offensively. The USG just never called them "mercenaries" since the term does bring up a bad vibe.

My opinion, of course.

What Iโ€™ve said is true? Biden cutting production? Man, you better go look again. He has cut our production way down, and our oil and gas is rising.

Interesting take that you see a difference. Not my world, so Iโ€™m a layperson. I think you picked up what I was putting down though when you recognized that the word mercenary might have a negative connotation.

I see the difference because of the job being performed. I mean, you don't call your local G4S or Securitas armed guard a "mercenary." Again, the same could be said about Private Military Contractors that provide a single service like armed security for Ambassadors.

But there are/were companies over there that are contracted by the Department of State or Defense that are, by definition, mercenary outfits.

You didn't answer the second half of my question.

If Biden is hellbent on destroying America, he wouldn't give a damn about foreign production. He would just drive us into the ditch.

In Syria, The War Of Hunger Is Taking Over From The War Of Guns | ZeroHedge

Great dollops of hypocrisy invariably accompany expressions of concern by outside powers for the wellbeing of the Syrian people. But even by these low standards, a new record for self-serving dishonesty is being set by the Caesar Civilian Protection Act, the new US law imposing the harshest sanctions in the world on Syria and bringing millions of Syrians to the brink of famine.

The left: why do you all like Tulsi so much?

Watch that video. If you still don't get it watch the video until you do.

She can actually articulate a thought and present her pov. That had been completely wiped away in DC in favor of whatever this govt can be called

This!
