Easy solution. Don't watch ESPN or anything broadcasted by the company(including ABC games). Lets see how long you last.

(and you're like 16. All you know is ESPN in its current form)

And you're how old again?

I honestly remember ESPN in the early 2000's being better than it is today.

Whatever, agree to disagree.

Hopefully they didnt take any tickets to the Janet Jackson concert

Confessions of former NFL agent Josh Luchs - SI.com - Magazine

If you were a good player at UCLA, I made a run at you. I tried to get can't-miss NFL left tackle prospect Jonathan Ogden as a client, but he wouldn't take my money. He did, however, go with me to a Janet Jackson concert. My girlfriend got two tickets, and I told her, "Sorry, I need those tickets for J.O. He's a big Janet Jackson fan." Instead of going to the concert with my girlfriend, I went with a 6'9" guy who weighed more than 300 pounds and who screamed "Janet!" the whole night like a teenage girl.

Oregon can only capitalize if they win the national title this season.

I'm not sure I understand your post. Capitalize on what?

If its USC's NCAA problems, I don't think that is a big deal for Oregon. Granted it certainly helps, but without Pete, USC is back to more "normal" USC performance.

Over the last 20 years, Oregon has won 65% of their games. Granted under Pete Carroll USC was exceptional, of course it appears that the NCAA is making them pay for some of Petes program management.

If you took out the Pete Carroll years, USC has won 55% of it's games over the last 20 years. My point here is that Pete was the reason SC did so well. It's not USC as a program. Also, since Oregon turned the program around in 1994, USC is 5-7 vs. the Ducks.

of course most of those losses are during the worst USC era in history.

the ducks have zero chance to dominate southern california recruiting. location has been shown over and over again to be the #1 correlation to where recruits go. Therefore if USC starts really sucking the following schools in this order will benefit:

1) UCLA
2) Cal
3) Stanford (though academically that's always a problem)
4) UW, UA, ASU, and oregon

I'm sure you're aware of the fact that USC is one of the winningest and most prestigious football programs in college football?

Being good matters to. If Oregon goes to the BCS title game, I'm almost positive they'll finish with their first top 10 class on the coming years.

agreed, but i can't see that being anything but an aberation. We saw a lot of the top players from texas go to kansas state when texas was down, but the second texas got good again that all ended. We saw a similar thing with washington when usc was down in the pac-10.

Maybe, maybe not. Right now, they're the most celebrated team in the Pac-10, and if they sustain this success they'll soon reap the benefits.

now some are saying curfew violation. though they broke curfew BEFORE the cal game and NOW they are being suspended? also some rumors that moore was at that miami agent party and it seems confirmed he's one of the guys suspended. either way, not good for ucla.

Watched the game with my Cal alum advisor. Looked like UCLA could use all the help they could get.

Oregon has a real shot at only one of the best 50 or so HS players from California, IIRC. USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, Notre Dame and Washington are all currently out-recruiting Oregon in the state of California.

We've gone over this here; championship programs are not built on diamonds in the rough. Oregon can occasionally lock down that high quality skill guy, but look at their OL over the last four years. It sucks.

You're preaching to the choir. I don't expect Oregon to recruit on the level of a USC or Bama, or become some national power. I do however believe going to the title game would do wonders for Oregon's program.

100% agree. though i'd argue winning it would be a MUCH bigger deal. Vtech is still pretty good, but hasn't sniffed the NC game since vick.

....Oregon's OL was very good last year and is this year as well.

true, but it was pretty horrible before that. also you have had a huge problem getting quality defensive recruits. and i just can't see oregon regurally winning the pac-10 without a top-20 defense.

We have one of the best O-Lines in the country. Out of the starters:

3 2-star recruits
1 3-star recruit
1 4-star recruit
