UEFA Euro 2020 (June 11 2021-July 11 2021)

If Wales could get one counter-attack going with Bale's speed, they could steal a goal and that would make me feel better

Gotta hold on for about 10 minutes and hope the Swiss keep hitting the crossbar or post instead of the goal

I know if you get a yellow card in back to back games, u can't play in the next game, right ? But, a red card doesn't have any next game penalty, correct ?

I believe it's if you are sent off (2 yellows or a straight red), you miss the next game. and I don't remember the rules, but they usually have accumulative counts of yellows, but those reset at some point IIRC - I'm thinking after the group stage, etc.

Well, Wales advances, barely. Sorry, Nash, that red card probably hurt your chances more than it helped, because Wales just sat back and played defense

Meh, all good, it was only a $5 bet. I haven’t won a single bet in the euros so far 😂. There is always one game that blows my parlays.

Scotland would qualify for the Last 16 of Euro 2020 with a win over Croatia on Tuesday if

Denmark were to defeat Russia and Belgium defeat Finland in Group B
&
Either Ukraine or Austria won their clash in Group C

Both would mean Scotland would be assured progression with a win.

Have to say I’m not a huge fan of these expanded tournaments where some of the third place teams progress. Liked the Euros better at 16, and imagine I’ll prefer the 32 team World Cup over 48. I know we get the extra round of knockout games, but it definitely feels like it cheapens the group stage matches when only 8 teams get sent home. Probably just still salty that Portugal basically took the group stage off in 2016 and then got hot and won the whole tournament.

It takes away so much of the drama and excitement.
