UF to duck Georgia Southern from here on out.

Would you trade a winless season 35 years ago for a 9-game winning streak against Florida today?
Trade or not we still dont have an 0'fer or a loss to a lower div opponent. We can talk fictional all day but the reality is that those are in the UF record books.

Just count it up to a couple more things you have on the Vols and call it a day

UF fans aren't losing sleep over 1979.

Hell, most of us are over Georgia Southern.

We're just ready for Muschamp to be gone.

I've wondered what the rumblings were from the fans. Zook got the quick noose, which was necessary, and considering he was the #3 choice as well really no HC experience I'd say Foley saw his mistake and cut his losses quickly. Muschamp was litle different since he was highly prized. Though he didnt have any HC experience I wasnt sure if UF would give him a bit more of a leash than Zook but it sure sounds like he's out of rope.

Zook got the quick noose because Urban Meyer was snooping around the Notre Dame job, and Foley wanted to get the jump on him before the Irish did.

ok, unique situation where a ladder climbing proven winner was looking for an opportunity at the top level while the current coach slowly went down hill. Right place, right time. Fast foward to today and only half the equation is there. Not sure if Foley has that perfect storm again so is there any potentials being mentioned? Seems like many of the hot name up and comers (Strong, Malzahn, Jimbo Fisher, Petersen, etc) are pretty fresh in their new job so I cant see them jumping yet.

Butch Jones. :)

This place would explode if that happened.

Foley missed his window with Franklin.

I think he's gonna tear it up at Penn State.

What if CWM pulls a repeat of his 2nd season and wins 11 games?

A contract extension will then come into play.

Doubtful we win 11 games.

It's also doubtful Muschamp gets another extension if by some miracle we win 11 games.

You don't hand out contract extensions for being wildly inconsistent.

Unfortunately, UT's former AD Mike Hamilton did just that...consistently.

I see UF @ 6-1 heading into the game against UGA. IMO, depending on that game to how the remainder of the season plays out.

I expect us to win at Neyland, because we usually do, and because I think UT has some serious question marks in the trenches.

I also expect to get pummeled by Bama and FSU, and lose close games to South Carolina and UGA.
