Watching Lion Fight 8, muay Thai Kickboxing. Decent fights, their records always crack me up. One guy is 180-71. Oh and he is only 27. So if he has been fighting since he was 17 that's 25 fights a year, that's crazy. My favorite kickboxer is Badr Hari, dude is a straight beast. 100-11 with 88 KO's. Problem with Badr is he is a lunatic, in and out jail for assault. Last I heard he is up for attempted manslaughter.

You are really dwelling on the Sonnen thing. We get it.

You should read the posts above that one. I was messing with Ben, about Askren challenging middleweights. It was a joke, so obviously you don't get it. Btw I really only talk about Chael when someone brings him up. And you made a random joke about him a few pages back man.

Edit: someone is grumpy in the mornings :)

Is it BJ20?

Watching inside MMA and a freaking big ass light fell from the ceiling on this wrestler. It was pretty nutts.

I saw that. He had a pretty big gash on his head, but he was insanely lucky that it wasn't worse. If that had been my kid getting hit by that light, I would have been ready to fight whoever was responsible.

Also lucky that he wasn't standing, could have broken his neck. Agreed, I would have been livid if I was his dad.

Kind of like how WEC and Strikeforce were minor leagues? There are many top-notch quality fighters that don't fight under the UFC banner.

Exactly how Strikeforce and WEC were minor leagues. I understand there are quaility fighters but to the regular MMA fan those guys have 0 name recognition. Also, once they're truly top-notch the UFC comes calling, thus the minor leagues.

I agree. Look at MLB...there are some guys in the minors that are better than guys in the majors, but overall the talent is far superior in the majors. It's not quite the contrast, but UFC is definitely the "big league". I'd like to keep it that way, too. Let's not dilute the fight game like boxing has. I'm pulling for the UFC to stay clearly on top of the industry, unless they decide to do really lame things with their league.

Obviously, no MMA promotion has near the amount of talent the UFC has. A lot of people dismiss fighters just because they don't fight in the UFC, though. The former WEC fighters have dominated the LW division lately, and former Strikeforce fighters have already had contracts for title shots at HW, LHW, and WW.

Oh, I definitely agree there are guys in other fight leagues that can come in and wreck UFC guys.
