Damon's "companion" in the car (Courtney Fuhrmann, pretty hot) was arrested also for disorderly conduct. Maybe she told the police to back off her man.

Georgia may look Gators' way for new athletic director

Submitted by Gene Frenette on July 3, 2010 - 4:37pm

If there was even a sliver of a chance for University of Georgia athletic director Damon Evans to save his job, it vanished with the three-page police report released of his arrest for drunken driving.

From the arrogance he displayed in trying to play the Michael Irvin-do-you-know-who-I-am card, to the discovery of him holding red underwear belonging to his 28-year-old female companion that wasn't his wife, then saying to the police officer, "She took them off and I held them because I was just trying to get her home," it all smacks of a troubled AD who has lost his sense of direction.

No doubt. What I've heard is don't even take the FST. I'm no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure you aren't legally required to get out of your car unless you're under arrest. A FST is a way for an officer to determine if you should be arrested. The lawyer I talked to said the best thing to do is write your information down on a piece of paper, have it in your car, and if you get pulled over driving drunk just hand the officer your information. Say nothing, do nothing, agree to nothing.

And drive drunk? You sound experienced. If so, you are pure scum.

Evans should probably go back to the bar(s) where he had the drinks and get the bartender to give him a couple of shot glasses (his and hers), complimentary of course since he is going to be unemployed and cannot afford to buy them, that he can mount or place in a curio cabinet to remind him of the $550,000 those two shot glasses cost him.

Name I'm hearing to replace Damon Evans outside UGA : Greg McGarity - University of Florida Executive Senior AD

Another leading candidate to replace Damon Evans.. South Carolina AD Eric Hyman. Hyman & Florida's Greg McGarity are tops "outside" UGA

The good news keeps on coming for Damon Evans. Dude was still in touch with the ho he got caught with AFTER his arrest and subsequent apology. I guess it never dawned on him that texts and cell phone records on a state issued cell phone are public domain. I'm sure his wife's attorney will love this.

The records show that Evans and Courtney Fuhrmann, 28, exchanged four texts shortly after 9 a.m. on July 1, the morning after both were arrested in Atlanta -– Evans on a DUI charge and Fuhrmann on a charge of disorderly conduct. The records also show that Evans placed two phone calls to Fuhrmann, lasting a total of eight minutes, on the night of July 1, about an hour after he held a news conference in Athens to apologize for the arrest.
