UGA is struggling too. In fact, most of the top tier of the SEC schools are struggling. There doesn't appear to be that one team this year - probably because the scheduling is ensuring that UGA and others play tough opponents across the conference.

I feel at least 3 SEC teams will make the playoffs - I think that will tell if this is just the SEC teams beating up on each other - or if the conference is down. I think it is the former not the latter.

Greg Sankey won’t allow them to put less than 4 SEC teams in the playoff.

Georgia defense is legit. They're going to come after Nic big time, and I mean big time. However, I do believe if we use our RBs intelligently, by using a committee approach, we win. Fresh legs for our hard running backs can punish the slobbering mutts for hard charging Nico. Letting the front four go after Beck while our guys shadow their TEs, WRs, and blunt their running attack helps. I'm sure the Heup & Co. will closely at the UK vs. Ga game to spot how and why the Cats nearly beat them. Then duplicate the strategy.

Other thoughts: I also believe if we throw in our other unused WRs at Ga. kids like Matthews, basically use the committee approach, we tire out Ga's DBs and by mid 3rd QTR find ourselves scoring almost at will. Ga. RBs are fast and shifty, textbook tackling is a must. Their WRs are also fast.

We can't afford senseless penalties. This may be a 2022 Vols vs. Bama type game with a defensive bent, probably 22 - 12 thing, with lots of fingernailss nibbled to the first knuckle plays. Careful Fingers, we don't want to lose you. Like that Kif thing says, "Get your popcorn." This is going to be an Ali-Foreman rope-a-dope affair. A game where Hulk Hogan belts out:

On the one hand, this.

On the other, much like the UT WRs’ drops, lots of the picks seem inexplicable.

If Beck would just not throw the ball directly to the other team 2-3 times a game, UGA would be a lot better. It seems real simple—and Beck makes incredible throws that show that he’s capable of being a solid QB—but the dude just gaks it up 2-3 times a game.

His pick rate correlates with pressure. So I think we can guess what y’all’s game plan will be (and the Ole Miss plan this weekend, too).

Defense has to play better than it did last night. But on offense, I think Nico has to run the ball more for us to beat UGA. I don't think our OL will be able to block well enough for him to just sit back in the pocket and make throws. Nico will have to stretch the defense with runs and on the run throws for us to have a chance.

Run, Nico run !!!
Our oline just doesn’t give him a great pocket to throw from especially against teams that have a good dline (like UGA does).
He has shown glimpses of throwing well while moving.
Love to see more of that and some designed runs for him against MSU.
