Apologies then, you’ll have to overlook my failure to pick up the context. Your post just shocked me at first. Lol.It wasn't an accusation, it was a comparison. I don't know anything about the poster. I made an innocuous "devil's advocate" post and got called a dumb@$$, so the fun is on, right?
I am not here as an ambassador, just to exchange banter and barbs with rival fans and see how they think about the sport, the season, etc. Just like in a barber shop, not personal, just jokes.
Our D shut em down didn't we!!!! Only 3 points in the 2nd half!!!
Meanwhe the beat offense in CFB scored less points vs Georgia than Kent State.
I don't know about being a "vanilla southern football program." I do know Georgia is a national championship program. In fact, a national championship program very likely to win another national championship. You guys just don't get it.
There is no amount of love and praise that will ever make an uga fan happy. They always demand more. They crave attention and affirmation, because they know deep down that they have a vanilla southern football program. Is Georgia popular nationally? Nope. Tennessee shows signs of life, and we have the two highest rated games all season. We have a national brand that has been dormant way too long.
But go ahead if you must. Genuflect to uga. Call them the bestest ever. Heap praise on their program and team. And it STILL won't be enough for them. With rare exceptions, they are the neediest, whiniest, most passive aggressive fans in sports.
Trash program.
I mean honestly y’all have one national title in 40 years granted probably another one this year but most uga fans act like they have like 5 or 6 in a row lolI don't know about being a "vanilla southern football program." My question is why are y’all still here? Trolling? Seeking validation? Y’all won but the Vols appear to be living in your heads rent free. Afraid of the outcome of a possible rematch? You should be…How about when UGA took a field goal on 2nd and goal to end the 1st half instead of trying for the TD or when they ran out the clock after taking over on your 39 with 2:42 left and 2 timeouts, then took a knee on your 24 yd line with 26 seconds and one timeout left?
Boasting is hardly unique to UGA fans. The Vols have had a really good season so far. Have you read the stuff posted here? Up until last week, the Vols were invincible. For some here, they still are.I mean honestly y’all have one national title in 40 years granted probably another one this year but most uga fans act like they have like 5 or 6 in a row lol

I’m here because I love CFB. I love talking CFB. This forum has some interesting participants. But no I’m not afraid of a rematch, looking forward to it. Just curious. Why do you sign up as poster on another teams message board? Seems strange to me. I have been a member on Volnation since the early days. I have never thought Ill be a poster on a Florida, Georgia or Alabama message board. Clearly it is allowed as Freak makes the rules. I am just curious what brings a UGA fan on a UT forum? Are the Dawgs boards full? Abysmal? Or you just want to stir up stuff?Okay guy, show me how Tennessee outscored Georgia from the second quarter on when they lost the third and then come back with that "You obviously watched a different game" doo-doo. Tennessee got their arse whooped in rushing, passing, time of possession, total offense, total defense, special teams, and penalties, and lost by 14 with 8 expected. But know what, rock on with that head-in-the-sand mess. In that game, Georgia beat the hell out of Tennessee the entire night.

All that aside and regardless of what other fanbases think or say, we have somehow risen from the absolute dead starting last year to be 8-1 today with solid wins over Fla, LSU and Bama and in the national discussion. It's better than the other option that we lived through for the past 15 years. It's simply amazing how far we've come in a short amount of time. Don't expect other programs to understand it or recognize it. There will be other elite SEC programs that cycle down eventually. They better pray to God it's not what we experienced. GBO!
There seem to be 2 threads emerging.I rewatched Tennessee/Georgia game tonight. I thought Saturday night Georgia dominated Tennessee by playing their best game of the year and Tennessee their worst game. After watching it again I realized Georgia had 3 big plays that allowed them to score. From that point, 43 seconds into the second quarter, Georgia had only 162 total yards for the 2,3,4 quarters combined. They only had 72 total yards in the whole second half. They had only 95 total yards more than Tennessee for the game. Not to mention the fluke 75 yard punt that goes out at the one. Tennessee missed on a couple of wide open throws that would have been touchdowns. Tennessee’s defense showed up. Georgia’s great tight ends caught 3 total balls all night, all by Bowers for a measly 27 yards. Don’t get me wrong, Georgia deserved Saturday’s game but this game was much more competitive than people especially Georgia fans are trying to say. I’m hoping for a rematch (it’s highly possible) because I believe on a neutral field Tennessee will win. I believe final 4 will be 1.Georgia 2. Ohio St 3. Tennessee 4. Oregon
All SEC fans are irrational and arrogant. Georgia fans are every bit as bad as Alabama. I’ve got better things to do than trade insults. But there are lots of media sites for each school that give you injury news and who is playing well. That’s a little more valuable. Why do University teams go to other schools and play each other instead of staying on their own campuses and just playing amongst themselves with teams of students from their own schools? Why do you go to another town, state or country for vacation instead of staying in your own hometown? Why do you go out to eat instead of eating at home all the time? Why do kids go to universities at all, instead of staying home and reading the books on their own?
I ask you why do you not consider participating on other boards? Do you prefer that everyone stay on their own sides of the fences and just throw stones at each other instead of actually crossing lines and meeting, exchanging ideas and even "stir things up" a bit? Well, we used to have a thing like that and it was called segregation.
Opposing team boards are interesting and fun and filled with a funky mix of fans that see things in ways I do not, for better or for worse. I learn from them, expose myself to critique and challenges to my thoughts and even insults and maybe add something to the mix in the process, for better or for worse. Try it sometime, it's not a scary as you think.
I've been to Knoxville for a game and had a great time. The folks couldn't have been nicer. And yeah, Rocky Top is a catchy tune. But I'm not at all interested in UGA having national appeal. I want national championships. Why would I care what someone in Des Moines, Iowa or Phoenix, AZ think of the Georgia football program?Clemson has a NC as well, and they are vanilla too. No national draw at all. uga is similar. Little to no real identity, and very little national appeal. Y’all bark at kickoffs and planted some bushes in your stadium. Wow.
Go anywhere, hum Rocky Top, and people know Tennessee. They may love us or hate us, but we are a national brand with real traditions and personality.
uga just.......isn’t.
It appears the truth hurts you. I haven't put a spin on this game like many have here. I saw the truth on the field. Our OL were WORKED the entire game. Our Heisman QB looked average because of it. Our D never stopped UGA in game truthfully. They used 9+ minutes to drive on us in the 3rd quarter. BowlCut put them in coast mode when the skies opened up. We were outplayed, out-coached and run out of town. I honestly believe they could've put "fiddy" on us like many predicted we would do to them......in the rain or not. If we get a rematch, anything can happen but if you know anything about football you know they are playing with the "first pick" kids on the sandlot and we're playing with the "middle to last" kid picks. I'm not sorry your feelings got hurt. Don't let your orange glasses cloud the truth friend.I have no idea why a Vol would ever post that. Seriously. You attack your own team and praise the other? Why? Does that bring you any joy?
I just don't get that.

They will pump a rematch if other teams teams start to lose but right now most are saying we shouldn’t be a playoff team over Oregon, TCU and maybe not the loser of Ohio State/Michigan. The Oregon one is interesting. I think they’ll lose again so it won’t matter and no doubt it TCU wins out (they won’t) they’ll deserve a spot but what say you about a 12-1 Oregon vs an 11-1 UT? I’m curious from a UGA perspective what you think. What is the media's motivation to push that narrative? The overwhelming majority of media picked Tennessee to win. The Vols have been the darling of the media since the Bama game. Wouldn't the media be more inclined to pump a potential rematch?
I don't know. Why don't you ask them DeepSpringsVol? It's not like anyone is asking you to do complicated things like using "a" in front of poster, or use apostrophes to show possession on "teams", or to use "of" instead of on in two separate places, or just saying f-it to commas. You can do this buddy! Go ask them. Even someone with a Kingston or Carter public education can figure this one out.Just curious. Why do you sign up as poster on another teams message board? My two-cents: Tennessee is a better team than Oregon. (I don't think I'm breaking any big news with that take.). Unfortunately for the Vols, when you lose seems to matter (probably too much). Whether it's valid or not, Oregon may get the benefit of the doubt because they lost to UGA game 1, essentially on the road, with a new coach and transfer QB. They've crushed everyone since. If they win out - and I think its likley they do - as a 1 loss conference champ they will pose a serious threat to Tennessee's playoff chances. Everyone also seems convinced TCU is going to lose. I'm not so sure. Which Texas team are they going to see this week...the one that should have beaten Bama or the Longhorn team that lost to Texas Tech and an Okie State team who got destroyed by Kansas and KSU? Then there's the treat of Michigan. If they lose a close one in Columbus, they'll be a threat to the Vols playoff chances. They will pump a rematch if other teams teams start to lose but right now most are saying we shouldn’t be a playoff team over Oregon, TCU and maybe not the loser of Ohio State/Michigan. On a side note, I think what’s buying a lot of UT fans is that Oregon’s 49-3 loss to you all is being dismissed as first game jitters while our 14 point loss in your stadium is being talked about as if it were a worse beating than your win over Oregon. Every single media person I’ve heard has said Oregon over UT if Oregon wins out.
