UK is a dangerous game.

I think it will be a tough game. We saw the advantage our bye gave us against LSU. IMO the same for Kentucky. Our offense is so unique that is just impossible to prepare for in a given week. But maybe less so, for a defense oriented team in two weeks. Besides for them, beating us is akin to us beating the Gators, it's season defining success. We will get their best game with perhaps the SEC's best pure quarterback. If we can't get to their QB, with our (non-existent) secondary, I expect another track meet to 40.

I do love that we have a scrimmage beforehand, to get some semblance of what the back end is going to look like, with all our injuries and suspensions.
Jesus....

Unless UT hands them the game, I personally think that UT's D will shut down the run game and pressure Levis mercilessly. They will force mistakes.

I also think there's at least the possibility that people come away saying, "wow" about UT's secondary in coverage so long as they're healthy at CB. UT put in a lot of work with the young guys last week. Though Bama was a huge challenge the DB's did some good things in that game. They made it hard on Young by giving him tight windows. UK has neither the QB nor the WR's to do what Bama did.
Pretty spot on.

I’m glad I was wrong to worry about this game…our offense played good but not great but our defense played great. Looking forward to next week.

Absolutely. UK fans should be thankful it wasn't much, much worse than it was. I think there were two or 3 dropped passes. Those have been virtually non-existent. Hooker missed some makeable throws too. The Vols were sloppy at times. That second drive was downright ugly. The OPI was pure BS... but UT routinely converts after 1st down penalties.

Heuple doesn’t over look games… Our DL will dominate UKs OL… Rodriguez will be minimized and Levis will be under pressure all night… UT steam rolls UK by at least 3 tds get that bvs out your system… listen to heup they prepare the same way no matter the opponent and the team is 100% bought in… enjoy the ride.
Seen this coming a mile away -11.5 was easy money I hope y’all took it like me…

I’m very happy David Pollack had Tennessee on upset alert for the Kentucky Tennessee game because Tennessee steamrolled Kentucky 44-6 in a game that was utterly undramatic.

It’s like Tennessee got to play Akron a second time this season.

#2 in Scoring defense and #2 in total defense in the SEC. We also will play Tennessee differently than Bama did defensively. Plus when that game is close late, Neyland will pucker down to the size of a keyhole.
Lmao!!!!!!!! Yea sure bub….. trash azz program

Umm, that fella didn't bring up the fact that we beat Bama. Didn't even mention them.

You brought that up. Which indicates it is worrying you. You know, that we beat a team that is well beyond yours.

It's chewing at the back of your brain, isn't it? That you're about to face that kind of ferocious resolve and talent.

It is not truly your fault. I blame the college football media. They love narratives. So in the off-season, as they were all sitting around brainstorming narratives to pursue in the 2022 season, one of them glommed onto this idea that Will Levis is a superstar, Mark Stoops a quiet genius, and Kentucky a sleeping giant. And that fella, whoever he was, was joined by a handful of others in this made-up narrative, and they talked you guys up, big-time. Talked you right up to a #7 ranking.

And you fell for it.

Not just you, either. There was an UGa fan on these boards talking way back in mid-September about how Kentucky could show up in Athens undefeated on the 19th of November to "decide the SEC East." Heh.

I told that fella back then that you likely weren't going to escape the month of October without at least two losses. Turns out it is going to be three.

So now, now that your Dreamworks Studios vision of a magical season has come crashing down, you fall back to what delusional Kentucky fans fall back on every year: maybe we can at least beat Tennessee.

Son, you know that almost never (and I mean that literally, almost never) works out well for you. You know that, right?

So I don't care if you're faster on defense than you were a year ago. I don't care if you're fast enough on defense to give yourself little tingles of excitement and anticipation.

We are going to crush you. This isn't going to be a close game. It is not going to be "close late." We're going to stomp a mud hole in you.

Enjoy the game!

Go Vols!
Well done!
