Seriously, though, I sometimes try to imagine what it would be like to be a NC State fan, and I just can't. I can't imagine what it must be like to be that mediocre/sub mediocre in every sport constantly. I'm so thankful I grew up a Heel fan. You really have to tip your hat to them though for staying so devoted despite such sheer ineptitude year-in, year-out.

The teams they've played in the winning streak have helped the cause, more up-and-down instead of half-court. Team is finding their stride though.

I see one of two things happening:

1. Carolina establishes a good post presence and is also able to penetrate to the basket. UNC or Duke wins in a close one.

2. Duke goes off from 3, hits about 30 of them, and beats the hell out of Carolina.

I don't really see any other options, quite frankly.

Nothing is ever off the table in this game. Records don't mean anything. I was there when Capel hit that runner from half court and Duke and Parks, Meeks and Price played out of their minds. I expect the unexpected. It is the best rivalry in college sports IMO. I understand Bama and Auburn making their case, like Michigan and OSU, but the difference is that they are hours away. Duke and UNC are 8 miles away, just down 15-501. I think Duke will win, but would not be surprised with a different outcome.

G*****n Zeller should have been crowding him so as to not give up the uncontested three. One of, if not the best, defenders in college basketball would have been there in the event of a driving layup/dunk attempt. I was watching that game and it was like it was happening in slow motion. Tyler couldn't hear me through my TV. :(

Should be an awesome atmosphere tonight. A large number of donors won't be able to make the game, allowing for more students to attend and be closer to the court.

Yeah it's pouring snow here. I can't remember it snowed this hard in the Triangle.

I was kind of hoping for the opposite effect with the weather and have a lighter version of the usual Brie and Chardonnay crowd. Looks like it's going to be more of a Busch Lite crew tonight. This game already has a very unusual feel to it and this will just add to it.

Really, it's probably for the best to postpone, but I have to work tomorrow, which is when I figure they'll reschedule.

Two things here:

1) State of NC, you couldn't treat the roads in between or provide a snow plow for Duke's team? Pathetic.

2) Duke. Your classes were cancelled around noon. You couldn't make it in? Yeah, might be inconvenient, but so what! Hang around at the Smith Center and locker room. It's not like the UNC squad is going to be doing much different either.
