I was thinking we weren't getting the calls. I.e. our being called out of bounds on the "rebound." (very early on.) I mean, honsetly, that happens all the time. Why call it now?

I wrote that as Paige was shooting free throws in regulation after Warren got fouled in the lane and Tyler Lewis got called on a bang-bang hustle judgment call. Then the refs called McDonald for a foul on the hold. As you've said about the ACC officials, they are terrible. There should not have been a whistle at all in the last sequence of regulation IMO.

I certainly can't tell you that. Hell, Cook doesn't even start right now. The funny thing is that Cook had Paige absolutely shook last year, was completely in his head, but you cannot deny how good and how much Paige has improved from his first to second year. No doubt 1st team All-ACC player. That kid was unreal tonight. A very special performance by both he and Warren.

That's interesting. I'm not disagreeing with you. Warren was at a lot of UNC bball events. Yet he never committed. Maybe that explains why. I was led to belief that it was between him and Johnson. And Johnson chose first. Honestly, your account makes sense. I had the impression that Warren wanted to be a Tar Heel, but something was keeping him back. Your account makes sense. I don't even know what to think of the referees anymore. It's obvious they don't know how to make the calls and implement the newer rules. There is no consistency.

Honestly, I thought the game called very well, per ACC standards this year. If the Pack crew wants to knick and pick, then I refer them to the call in the first half when UNC apparently stepped over the line in the end-bounds (that is called about once every year or two, despite it happening at least once or twice per game). And I refer them to the call against Leslie that sent the game into OT. Ticky-tack. UNC won that game fair and square in regular time. Thank god we won it in OT.

And to your point, no, the miracle of 83' is not returning to that university within the near future.

The most important thing is we are Vols first and foremost despite our differences in opinion of Duke and UNC. Big win by the Vols tonight and Utah State can't get here fast enough. +2 1/2 home dogs. I like it.
