Well, we gain one (LMac) and lose one (James). Pretty consistent per UNC's luck the last few years.

For a poor free throw shooting team, Texas sure can shoot the hell out of some free throws. Anyhow, they've always been our kryptonite for some damn reason. We'll be lucky to pull this one out.

Wow! I never have understood our troubles with Texas, and tonight hasn't clarified that for me. Just unreal how we perform so poorly against them.

My only theory is that Rick Barnes hates UNC so much that he preps his teams against UNC every year. Any other team be damned. Every practice is against a prospective UNC squad.

I never did get the feeling that UNC would pull this one out after Texas ran back ahead mid-first half. Just one of those days. Texas totally outplayed us.

On another note, if I was Roy, I'd start telling my players just to bank their free throws. Just throw it straight to the board and hope that it banks in. Couldn't get any worse.

If this team just shot average from the stripe (hell, even slightly below average) we'd be looking at a one loss team at worst.

This time around Barnes is coaching for his job. The new AD is there to clean house. Count baseball coach Soggy Burrito on that same hot seat.

If PJ was going to take illegal benefits, he should have signed 4,000 (or whatever the hell it was) bballs, like Manzeil did with fballs. No paper trail. These kids...they never learn.

He should've been smart and not be on Holloway St. On a Friday night in Durham doing something illegal. There is nothing good going on there most hours, but especially at that particular time of day.

Edit: I hate being this guy... But supposively there is something big about to drop. Meaning PJ is the tip of the iceberg. This is what I was told by a Duke guy, so take it how you may. He's not the kind of guy to just say something bad about UNC just for the helluva it. I honestly hope he is wrong because this is getting ridiculous and I don't want anything to happen to the bball program. The joke of a football program on the hand...

Yeah, I'm not necessarily disappointed with the ruling, although I'd still love to see what this team is capable of when it has all its horses. You're right: he made his bed with the devil and now he lies in it. It'll be interesting to see what steps he takes next regarding his collegiate or NBA career. I say he leaves school and tries to join a D-league team for the time being, if that's possible (I don't know the specifics of how that works), then declares for the draft.

I don't know the full extent of his options right now either. I would go to Europe and get paid for a year and then enter the draft. But that's just me.

It's amazing how few guys do that, especially considering that asinine "one year" rule we currently have. You'd think more guys would be willing to go to Europe and make some coin for a year instead of farting around at college here in the States. So far hasn't Jennings (I think is his name) been the only one to do that?
