I'm a fan of the ww2 old black and white movies, my personal favorite is underrated...''In Harm's Way''. It stars John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Burgess Meridith set at Pearl Harbor during and just after the attack.

The Muppet's go to New York. Mrs Peggy and Kermit just walking down the street like they're real people. Classic.

The first two have been mention but I'll give them another +1 because they are great underrated movies.

City of God
-Very, very good movie. This movie totally caught me off guard. I was not expecting a movie of this caliber.

Jackie Brown:
- My personal favorite Tarantino flick. When Samuel L kills Chris Tucker in the opening sequence it really defines his character(especially because at the time of it's release Chris Tucker was known as the very likable, funny character Smokey in Friday). It surprises me more people don't know about this movie.

True Romance:
- Another Tarantino movie that goes under the radar. I really like this movie.

The Jacket:
- This movie might not appeal to alot of people but it's well done and has very good acting.

The Pianist
-I'll mention this one as Adrien Brody is the actor in the last movie I listed and goes under the radar to some people. The movie title is misleading, this movie is surrounded with war. The life of a Jewish pianist living in Warsaw during the era of WWII.

American Psycho:
- One of Christian Bale's best performances. The movie title says it all.

Road to Perdition:
-This movie is based off of a comic book or graphic novel as they call them today. It features Tom Hanks as a mob hitman and his son.

Miller's Crossing:
-One of the many 90's mob movies, one of the better ones if I have to say.

The Thing:
-I'll throw this one out there because I'm guess alot of the younger crowd hasn't ever seen it. This movie was about 10 years ahead of it's time. Very well made movie, great effects for the 1982 release. It's a Sci-Fi flick staring Kurt Russel. If you haven't saw it check it out.

King of the Ants
-The title/box cover and lack of a well known lead actor turns people off of this movie. This has to be one of the best underrated movies ever made. It has nothing to do with ants at all. Don't miss this one.

I could go on and on with this subject so I'll stop here.

I'm definitely not a critic, but a couple of movies that I liked that a lot of people don't seem to remember or know of are Deep Cover and To Live and Die in LA.
