This is the part I'm most excited about

"Variety of factors" translation... 17 year old kids think Adidas is lame and think Nike is cool. Like it or not uniforms and apparel go a long way into recruiting and building the "brand". {insert obligatory Oregon comment}.

I am personally all for being a Nike school.

Adidas is not lame and they takes care of us. We will stick with them IMO

If its scripted out like the welcome to "Tennessee" signs when entering the state, I think it'll look fine. But if it's block lettered like the basketball jerseys, I don't think I'll like it. We'll see..

I find it no small coincidence that adidas will want us to wear our alternate grey unis in Nike's backyard (Oregon).

For the record, I hope we switch to Nike. I like the Pro Combat stuff they've done and, imo, Nike seems more "invested" in college football than Adidas. By that I simply mean that they're constantly trying to improve both quality and design. They lead imo and Adidas never really tries to keep up.

Adidas also has their US headquarters in the Portland area and will have an event for their employees around the game, just as they do when fellow adidas school UCLA plays at Oregon.

Ha! So true. I wish the fans could get this half right. I'd pay ten bucks more to go to a game if they policed the orange going into Neyland.
