I like Oregon's uniforms but please, for the sake of God, don't touch the Tennessee helmet.

The white helmet looks horrible with the grey (or black) unis

I would LOVE to see Butch and Saban work out a deal to make our games Orange vs. Crimson again.

I think those colors really would make the rivalry even better. That's the only game I'd want to do it for though.

How about starting a petition drive here and with Bama fans to see if there is enough interest? I think it would be great personally. It would be another "Tennessee" tradition that is not like anybody else's.

Speaking of which, I LOVE it that UT doesn't put those God awful Allstate nets in the EZ.. and that we don't do that "Another XXX.... FIRST DOWN" thingy... like everybody else is now doing.

Booooooooo! I love our uniforms and helmets like they are! If they want to play one game a year in some off the wall uni, I can take that. But this Oregon, chrome helmet trend bites!

Not to get off topic but as much as I despise our fellow SEC schools, the story of why LSU wears white at home is pretty cool.

anything for a competitive edge… for those of you who think uniforms don't figure into recruiting, you're simply out of touch… it's obviously not the only factor, but it is a factor and we should win in every conceivable way

none of your innovations are about the iconic uniform, aside from keeping the tear a way jerseys looks the same. Alabama struggles so much with recruiting. Obviously their unis are holding them back.

Change the colors to black and orange. Do some variations like Texas Tech.

Orange helmets with black Vols instead of the T.

I don't have a problem with staying with the current unis we have. But if they are going to different unis, the helmet needs to match the color scheme for that week. For ex: if they wear grey unis, make the helmet grey with an orange T. I'm def not for the extreme combination of colors like Oregon.

Interested to see what Nike can bring to the table. I would like to see a lighter shade of grey like Oregon. Ready for a couple of new helmets. I really like what Nike does with Oregon and would like for us to become the Oregon of the SEC!

Look, Tennessee football to me is tradition. Our uniforms are iconic. There are very few of us left. Penn st, Bama, etc. You guys that want chrome helmets and fluorescent rainbow colors on your team, probably should start rooting for Oregon. Nb4 someone says oh no, true fan police...it's not that, I just don't think UT will do all that chartreuse and chrome walk at night, uniforms that look like a skittle factory blew up bs. Tennessee is like a best friend to me, I feel comfortable with who they are and don't want em to change.

Saban will not agree to it. That's why I say forget permission, just do it and take the two 15 yard penalties.

We warm up in white then come out of the tunnel in all orange...

As long as our Helmet design is never altered I am cool with any uni combination. The Power T is what makes TN, TN imo.

The helmet design, along with the uniform has been changed many times throughout history. Do some research, look at our history and be open minded. Embrace the progress and reminisce about our glory and growth. Things can be changed and still remain true to the core. We have a lot of cool options for a throwback uni combo. Historically we have some great logos. Seriously, it's just a Google search away.

Yes that must be it along with Notre Dame and Nebraska etc etc...Seems to me we have a lot of great players who have come to UT in the past and they came to play in orange and white uniforms...I've never seen any problems with our recruiting except when Dooley was here..We are regularly in the top 10 in recruiting.

the players like the gray. Only reason I am against them is we are 0-2 in them. But if a uni the players like can help win over recruits, go for it.

The civilian contractor I work with is a clemson fan and we were just talking about "throw backs" about 6 hours ago...

I know i'd love to see it.

I agree with not liking all the fluorescent colors. I would hate to see TN go down that road. I don't have a prob with mixing in a different color scheme maybe one game a year though.

And some of us pity that whole timeframe and couldnt give a **** about north/south. Glad the Union won though.
