A helmet decal has already been ordered, not sure if there's a plan for a jersey patch as well. My guess is it will just be the helmet sticker, similar to the seasons after Reggie White, Doug Atkins and Pat Summitt passed away.

I would imagine that DP will say that there are no major changes because the uniforms were already ordered way back. I’m curious if the new staff will do any drastic changes by next season.

I hope they don’t . The current template is great with me with the exception of black cleats, and maybe the # font could change.

I wonder if there was an order placed for some black shirts since they wanted to wear them last year.

I agree on all fronts, but I agree more because the black Jersey thing is incredibly overdone . We have Smokey grey’s alternates, we need to do some retro unis the way Florida has the past few years. Florida’s old school unis are better than their current ones IMO.

I am all on board with retro unis, but the thing is ours have kind of been the same for 50 years. We'd be digging way deep to pre-T helmets, and then even further back for a different jersey. Unless we did something super throwback (like the Redskins have done, for instance; seen in this design I did back in college or thereabouts several years ago) I don't know that there is much retro we could do that we haven't done before. Maybe we can bring back those 1970s orange shoulder jerseys?

I've said this a million times, I have no idea why everyone and their brother wants a black uniforms when almost literally every team does that. And it's been this way like 15 years at least now. Like yeah in 2003 it was kind of cool when a team came out in a black jersey but even then it was usually a team that had black in their color scheme somehow. Then teams that had zero black started trotting them out. It was overdone like 10 years ago; hell it's so overdone and past its prime it's almost retro.

Personally, I just want to see freakin white on orange pants. I know we did in 2019 but we didn't last year with the return of the double stripe orange pants. I'll continue to beat this drum but the only thing I really ask is we get at least one game wearing all 4 of the normal set uniforms and honestly I'd like to see at least 2 road games in white over orange.

I can see CJH bringing back the Smokey Greys but honestly I'm not sure I want them. It's probably not fair but I tend to associate them with Butch Jones. Personally I'd like to see if we could get an orange helmet. I know that's always been a struggle but the baseball team finally got the orange batting helmets correct so I have hope we could pull off an orange football helmet.

Teams that change their uniforms have no identity. Bama doesn't change their uniform because they have an identity: Winners! Blue chip players go to Alabama because they are winners, not because they wear a different uniform every game. If we keep out traditional uniform and start winning then we will attract good recruits, not by wearing ugly uniforms.

I imagine people said this same thing when we put T's on the helmets. Or when we checkered the endzones. Or when we did anything that deviated from the "norm." And for God's sake enough with the Alabama "what about-isms!" "Well what about Alabama? They don't do it!" I don't give a damn about what Alabama does. It's time we start carving our own path instead of trying to model everything THEY do! What works for them doesn't automatically apply to everybody else.

Change is difficult especially as we get older.
