Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

Saw this earlier at Hibbet Sports, any chance we see these vs Missouri or vs UK? They look pretty slick.

Storm Trooper's all white on Saturday it sounds like. Not a huge fan with white shoes and socks. I always thought if we wore all white unis, black shoes and socks looked better with them.

its going to be cold Sat night - I would guess most players will wear the socks high - shoes should remain half orange and white

I haven't disliked a combo this whole season...I've always hated the all orange, but some subtle changes were made and I loved them...whoever's in charge of the uni layouts have earned a raise...I always wondered why teams like Texas Tech and TCU, with much smaller budgets could avoid the tacky elements we would experience from time to time, dating back to Majors

I was kinda wondering why we couldn't wear our orange home jerseys, seeing that it is "bright" instead of "dark." Mizzou will be wearing all black, so there is plenty of contrast. At the very least, I think NCAA rules allow us to ask the opposing team. Why not ask? Can't hurt.

i concur 100%. It electrified Neyland and we won BECAUSE of black jerseys. Play the game ten times in orange,we lose 8. Just saying. ALTS CAN EFFECT OUTCOME! I recommend them for the UGA and SCAR games. We could, and should, wear road alts @ Ore&Fla. If we win, wear @Bama. GO VOLS!

1. I think our away jerseys look too much like Tampa Bay circa 1980's with the darker orange outline numbers. I would prefer orange numbers with white/orange outline circa early 1990's.

2. I would like to see orange high socks and orange long sleeve undershirt with the storm trooper uni combo. We need a large amount of orange accents when wearing the all white uni's. Just my 2 cents.

I'd say you'll probably see the orange socks/sleeves now that its cold. That's how its always been in the past anyways...

Huge fan of the orange socks. Thinking about making that $15 purchase at the UC when I get in town for the Auburn game so I can make them part of my gameday attire.

"It's been no secret that UT officials have spent periods of the fall exploring maximum apparel options with representatives from adidas, and other major players in the industry we're told.

All signs point to UT moving closer and closer to a shift away from adidas; so much so that some head coaches on campus already have told recruits to expect the Vols to just do it when it comes to making a switch."

I'm never normally one to complain about the unis, and I've liked most of the changes that have been made this season. There's one I've really cooled on though, and that's the grill-plate looking striping on the upper chest and shoulders of our uniforms. I thought pre-season that it wouldn't be very noticeable at all, similar to the checkerboard pattern inside the numbers, but it's really really visible and just... sort of jarring. I'm not really sure why we decided we needed it, since any performance benefits it may provide in terms of airflow, etc are more than likely negligible. I certainly don't see other teams suffering without it.

Like everything else, but I would not mind seeing the shoulder pattern go away for next year.
