I just don't think they look good for Tennessee, and I just want those helmets to be left in the past. The Grey or Black helmets with the orange power T looks great. The white power T just doesnt feel right

Orange helmet should’ve been a matte finish with the script Vols, imo.

Unfortunately, I think DeerPark said in another thread that they did not re-order the Orange helmets, and that there are many players who wear a helmet style they don’t have already on-hand in Orange. As much as I’d like to see them again, it’s probably not happening any time soon.

We'll wear orange britches at least once on the roads this year...maybe twice since we got an "extra" road uniform game and wore all white in Charlotte (a neutral site). I'm guessing we wear orange britches against Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Storm troopers in Athens.

I am a traditionalist in color only. I hate the alternate uniforms that are not our school colors. Love the orange helmets, orange jerseys, and orange pants.

Question for you … Do we have a limited template to use for our uniforms? For example if you look at our road uniforms we have an orange collar, same as Baylor, Minnesota, UGA even and other Nike schools . Bama does not have that same template, they’ve had the same the uniform since the beginning of time. Could the powers within the university choose to say we’d like to have a white collar on our road uniforms w/ a power T or is it locked in? Weird question, I know

Yeah, you can do whatever you want color-wise within Nike's materials template. They chose an orange collar on the original Nike road uniforms and it stuck. If they wanted to remove it, they could. The materials are the same, just different colors.

Tennessee and Nike do have a brand standards guide for the alternates, which is why you don't see UT mix the standard uniforms with the Dark Mode or Smokey Grey alternates, other than for the QBs in the spring game and recruiting photo shoots.
