CBS PBP announcer: “In what we think is a football first, the Vols are going with what they are calling their birthday suit alternative uniforms.”
CBS color announcer: “And if the pre game warmups are any indication, they are just kind of hanging out and look really loose. Seem to be bouncing around. I expect this team to play balls to the wall out there today”.
I like alternate uniforms and am generally in favor of whatever excites the players, but I turn into a crotchety old man at the thought of anything besides orange and white for Bama.I think honestly save the smokey grays for Alabama (which I know is typically more of a traditional uniform matchup). I think when you do checker Neyland, it would be weird to do smokey gray with that, but it worked in 2016.
They could always really save those for Missouri I guess? We have to do the dark mode against Kentucky given that's the Halloween game (and will almost assuredly be a night game).I like alternate uniforms and am generally in favor of whatever excites the players, but I turn into a crotchety old man at the thought of anything besides orange and white for Bama.
So are we going Smokey gray or what? If so will it be the old ones or is there a new design? Bump me if there’s already another thread. Thank you I’m advance
Not sure I would want them wearing dark colors in that louisiana heat...Although UT will be wearing their home colors for that game as LSU prefers to wear white. All orange would look incredible. Save the Black-outs for Kentucky and the Smokey Greys for LSU. We need as much orange as possible against the Gators and the Gumps.
